Well, At Least my Saturday Night was fun…

Zoot and LilZ

If you have an arena football team in your area, you should really go see a game, even if you don’t like sports. I’ve seen several Columbus Wardogs games, as well as the Tennessee Valley Vipers like I did this weekend. We had a blast, as usual, although this is the first game this season I’ve made it to. The fun factor at arena football is much higher than college football or professional because there is a lot more action and scoring. The Vipers kicked some Memphis butt Saturday night and I loved every minute of it.

Now that I’ve discussed how fun my Saturday night was? I’m going to give you a “Zoot’s Sunday Teaser” for what HELL my Sunday became. The Teaser? I’m home now. While my trusty Nissan? Is 240 miles south of here. The story has all the necessary elements for a saga worthy of a made for TV movie:

1) A Damsel (Me)
2) In Distress (car problems at McDonalds in Middle of Nowhere/Alabama)
3) The Evil Villain (my ex-husband who wasn’t evil really, but I had to ask him for a favor and that is just an evil in itself)
4) A knight in shining armor (some guy named Rodney with a MONSTER TRUCK tow truck)

Unfortunately, there isn’t really a happy ending yet. Just a mildly tolerable intermission that will hopefully LEAD to a happy ending that wont brake the bank. So tune in later for the full story I’ve titled: “Zoot and the WORST Freakin’ Sunday – EVER”

Stay tuned…

Sorry to hear about the zootmobile. Fingers are crossed that it does not end in tragedy (greek or financial).

  2. Ro says:

  13. Michael says:

Never mind the other stuff; where did you get that great cat on the home page? He is totally fabulous. Give him to me!!!

  15. mike says:

what the hell would you be doing in south alabama?! i’ve been there many a time growing up(against my will) & i am willing to be no one willingly goes there to visit or live!!

by the way, i’ve been to one vipers game while visiting the parentals & you are right. it rocks!! i tried watching it on sundays on nbc, but it just doesn’t capture the atmosphere live. if it can liven up the vbcc or whatever it’s called now, it’s worth seeing.

  16. Lee says:

Live entertainment is always great fun! So are Damsels in distress! lol

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
