Crack Rock Anyone?
Category: TTC - AGAIN | 26 Comments »

So - I woke up and smoked 14 cartons of cigarettes. I’ve had 4 pitchers of beer since breakfast. Shots of Tequila every 45 minutes are planned for the rest of the day. Right now? I’m tapping a vein to shoot up some Heroine while smoking a big fat crack rock.

Oh yeah - and I’m having Sushi for dinner tonight. Suchi and cocaine.

My fuckin’ period came yesterday. I gotta make it seem okay I’m not pregnant by doing all the things I’m not supposed to do if I’m pregnant. You know - like smack and prostitution.

If you need me I’ll be in the back room smoking, drinking, and eating sushi.

Dog GONE

The doggies go home today. Well - at least the three that belong to MrZ’s parents. I know I’m going to miss them -especially Prissy - the shih tzu - she’s my bedtime cuddle bunny. Except she has got the stankiest breath I have ever smelled on any creature, alive OR dead. That part? I wont miss so much.

And Rosco. He’s simply the sweetest dog ever (he’s the Boston with the almost ALL black face). I have never, in my life, met a dog as sweet and loving as Rosco. I’m going to steal him one day - mark my words.

It will almost be quiet around here. If you can call “Quiet” 3 humans, 3 dogs, and two cats.

I’ll also miss the fact that no matter WHERE I go, I always have my own personal entourage. Granted, they just want treats…but it still makes a girl feel loved.

Of course, there is one dog who will NOT be upset when the others are gone…She is looking forward to having her roost back. Of course - she won’t like the fact that Sweetie is still here. But my sweet LilGirl is the alpha bitch, and too many dogs is too much for her to control. She’s just sick of it, you can tell. She liked it when it was just her and Cisco because Cisco KNEW she was in charge…he didnt need reminding like the others do.

She’s just like her mom. Heh.

Humuhumukununukuapua

LilZoot’s art camp extravaganza was fabulous. After visiting all of the different classes, his group did a modern dance number for the entire assembly. Coordinating 9yr olds into a dance routine in two weeks? Should be considered a miracle. And the instructor? Should be knighted.

After the dance, LilZ got to do his creative writing reading. He was so nervous. He read about our trip to Las Vegas in 2002. It was very cute. He did great. I read it in his notebook and he likes to use the word ‘Butt’ instead of ‘But’ which makes the 7yrold in me giggle profusely.

So - modern dance, public reading, and paper mache gourds? Does it get any cooler than that?

It could NOT get any cooler.

Unfortunately? The Hawaiian song about the Humuhumukununukuapua (state fish - thank YOU) is going to be playing in MrZ’s head all day long. Which means periodically he’ll start singing it out loud. Which means I’ll constantly have it in my head too.

Of course, because we are big giant rebels, we ditched the free pizza and went and had Firehouse Subs for lunch instead. There are about 15.2 million hot sauces you can choose from. Today? I chose none. I’m experimental like that.

Now I’m back at work for a few hours (Boo!) before driving LilZ to see his Dad (Boo!). Hope everyone has a fantabulous Friday!

  • I’ve picked up three bags of poop so far this morning. Ahhhh, the joy of owning dogs.
  • Someone from the Office (notice the capital “O”) hung our new lease on the door yesterday. With SIX dogs watching from the window. Have I mentioned there is a two animal limit in my complex?
  • Guess who got chosen to read a creative writing reading in front of the parents today at his art camp finale? LilZoot! He’s TERRIFIED!
  • Guess what he’s reading about? (He thinks…) Our trip to Vegas two years ago! HA!
  • Still groping my boobs. Not soreness or sensitivity, in case you are keeping score.
  • LilZ is going to his Dad’s this weekend. They are going to the Wringling Bros and BARNACLE Baily Circus. He he he. Barnacle Bailey.
  • Prissy - the Shih Tzu we are dog sitting - is old and has to be carried outside because of her arthritis and poor eyesight. Watching my big buff tatooed husband carrying around a Shih Tzu is the cutest thing in the world
  • In case you didnt read MrZ’s guest post - his presentation went perfect. He had several higher ups stop and tell him that, as well as a follow-up congratulatory phone call involving the words “Natural Talent” which made MrZ smile the Big Cute Smile I love so much
  • This bullet is for my brother, the triathelete: Go Lance!
  • Seeing the look on Lori’s face on BB5 last night, as she realized there were TWO Adrias, was awesome. I love this twist.
  • Seeing those snotty twins on Amazing Race 5 SWIM to the pitstop everyone else WALKED too? Was the funniest thing on TV last week
  • I would have much rather CSI rehire George Eads that Jorja Fox. I don’t like her character at ALL. But as long as Warwick sticks around (Yum Yum Yum) I could care less, really.
  • LilZ and I had to make a last minute run to Best Buy last night to buy a batter charger for my camcorder. They didnt have one, so we almost bought a new battery until som KIND MAN reminded my stupid ass that the batteries don’t come charged. Thank you kind man.
  • And Screw you stupid Best Buy employee who knew my situation and handed me the battery anyway.
  • Thank you Circuit City for having the right battery charger. Not getting LilZ’s performance on tape today would have broken my heart.
  • And we’re off to the show!!

    Geography Geeks

I tell everyone that MrZ and I make maps for a living, because its the 1.2 sec explanation. Really? We do a bit more than that. Technically? We are in the field of GIS (Geographic Information Systems). We analyze, create, AND make maps with geographic data. Everything from digital road files to satellite imagery or air photos. MrZ does stuff that I dont even know about (National Security) but it’s the same general idea. What I’m here to say now is?

Hi. My name is Zoot and I am a Geography Geek. So is my husband, MrZoot.

We love maps. I have a 20 gallon rubbermaid container full of maps, that I thought were cool. I have TWO copies of a “Timeline of Maps” (produced by the USGS) that stretches about 15 feet that I love with all my heart. We keep the maps that come in the National Geographics every month, and hopefully, when we buy a house one day, we’ll display them in our study.

We make Geography jokes. Yes. We make Geography jokes. We are that bad. We don’t do that as bad NOW as we did back in college? But, every once in awhile you’ll here a “What is that? A TOPO map? HA!” come from us.

We make fun of bad maps. We’ll watch the news and say things like “Oh my. Has anyone used that projection since Columbus? Duh.” Yeah. We’re kinda snotty geographers. We take pride in GOOD MAPPING SKILLS. The people who make maps in newspapers? And on the news? Dont really care about the geography behind the maps.

We Preach Geography. When I was in college, I was active in programs to teach teachers that Geography is more than place names. When I went back to my old High School - I ran into an old teacher who said “I’m teaching Geography now. I just gave them a map test on all major cities in Europe.” I went OFF on him. I was all “That’s why everyone hates Geography! There is more to it than River names and major cities!”. Blah. We love explaining the beauty of Geography and if you don’t give a shit about anything related to Geography? Don’t get us started.

LilZoot used his first GPS to gather data, when he was five. He is following in our footsteps quite nicely.
