School is in session – Where did the summer go?
Today was the first day of school and the first soccer practice. Since soccer started at 5:30pm, and I dont get home from work until 4:30, I got MrZ to start on dinner while we were at soccer practice. I’ve been through LilZ’s backpack and filled out the nine MILLION forms they send home the first day of school. How many times did I have to fill out my name, address, work number, and cell? NINE MILLION times, of course. Blah. Now? We’re home from practice, laundry is started, dinner is about done and we are going to finally sit down and eat it. At 8:00pm. Back in the saddle again…

BACK TO SCHOOL?!? August 9th!?! I have never heard of such a thing. That hardly gives poor lil Z a summer at all….aww man…fall is just around the corner and I haven’t bought stitch of summer clothing yet. Next year!
no, but maybe you should put out a reward for the safe return of your summer. that’s what we’re going to do when ours ends in three short weeks.
Isn’t it early for school to be starting? It seems like it to me, but maybe I’m just so old I don’t know when school starts these days. I just said “these days.” I AM old!
You already know my views on school starting in August (I think), but I do have a suggestion for all those forms – make labels on your computer! I brought a sheet of labels like that to the bridal fair a couple of years ago and it saved me from tons of writing on all those prize-draw ballots. Of course, I had to put up with a LOT of junk mail afterwards…
Oh poor you! I’ve got another month before all that back to school crap starts over! Thanks Gawd!!
