Congrats to all Boston Red Sox fans and to anyone who believes in a Sports curse! If that one can be broken? They all can be.

Obviously none of you live in New York. With a die hard Yankees fan. Whose only response was, “How much you wanna bet we have Pedro next year?” Too many of the Sox are free agents. Which makes me happy b/c they’ll likely get more money somewhere else next year, so life around here will be good again.

I am mostly happy because I am too damn old to stay up this late for four more nights. ;)

    I echo Mir’s sentiment.

I grew up with the Rangers. I guess we only have what, fifty more years till we can win the pennant? Speaking of trading people away.

    That’s baseball, right?

  9. Laura Says:

Ummmm…..It would have been even nicer for Boston if the Cardinals actually showed. Quote from the NY Post - “Red Sox victory over the INEPT Cardinals” Well, I guess even the Cardinals felt sorry enough for them to just roll over and let them win.

I read a really good article that ended with these two paragraphs:

“On Thursday, Tom Wilson, 44, of Falmouth, stood in line for souvenirs at a store. He wore a Red Sox cap, a tie whose print was full of baseballs and a blue suit.

“‘I’m not going back until I get large quantities of shirts and hats — 48 caps, 48 shirts,’ he said. ‘I’m going to take a couple of items and put them on gravestones of people who didn’t get to see this.’”

Awesome. And sad. Don’t you think?

Good…if any sports curse can be broken then I want the Buffalo Bills’ curse to go next! I’ve been waiting a long time!
