Well - I’m about to go to bed after a great day visiting with family. We are leaving for Slidell, Louisiana tomorrow. I hope to post while I’m gone - but just in case - you guys have a fantastic Thanksgiving! Eat lots of turkey and give lots of hugs!

Randomness…

Guess who’s coming to see me today? This is a picture of them at my mom’s yesterday. The small blonde one is Maxi - that’s my mom’s dog - he’s not coming to visit. (But he has before - and we love to have him!). But the other dog? Sadie? And the legs - which belong to my brother (Xhibit)- they are ALL coming to see me. And they may even bring his torso along with him. Can you tell my brother is WAAAYYY taller than me?

Speaking of that. I was in a chat with a couple of wild girls last night and they were shocked to find out I was only 5ft 2in. They thought I was taller! (Shut up Junkie and Stace…I know you all are laughing at the thought of someone thinking I was taller) I told them it’s the hair. Its hard to imagine a ‘fro like mine on a short person.

My point? My brother and my Dad are driving down to spend the day here. Since I’m going to Louisiana over the holidays - - this is my only chance to see my bro who lives in Kansas City. I can’t wait. Of course, it will only be for a few hours - but I’ll take what I can get!

Also - I’m taking this chance to pimp out some more new bloggers. My neighbor - MrsRum - started a blog. She rocks and her family rocks AND her son thought we were stealing her minivan this weekend and was upset. But he forgave us when we came back ten minutes later (needed it to bring the table home). She is as in love with her TiVo as I am, and I love her for it! Go say “Hi”!

Also - You need to go see Grace. Not only am I totally in love with the title of her blog - but she is proof that step-families can work - if you do it right - which she obviously is. Go say “Hi” to her too!

Oh - I just threw that picture in of my cat, Bambi, as a bonus. Forgive me - it’s 3am, I can’t sleep, and I found that picture incredibly entertaining. I probably won’t in a few hours…

What I’ve Seen…

I watched a bunch of good stuff this weekend. First? Joan of Arcadia was so good Friday. Some are criticizing it this season, and I agree the writing isnt as strong as last season, but I am totally in love with Grace Polk and any storyline that they can write that incorporates her character more? I’m totally digging. Is it wrong that I’m in love with a fictional character? Much less a female? Eh…I had a wedding cake made out of donuts, I never claimed sanity.

Oh - and just for the record? MrZ and I are about as anti-religion as you can get, so if WE like the show? That’s saying something.

Sunday night lineup? All of it rocks. We watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and record Simpsons and Arrested Development. Add in Desperate Housewives for good measure and we had a brilliant night of TV. I laughed, I cried, and I empathized (After last night’s Simpsons, is there any wonder why Lisa has always been my favorite?). Great TV night.

Finally - we saw National Treasure which we’ve been anticipating for weeks now. MrZ and I both decided it was like a Dan Brown book - for kids. Once I stopped analyzing the plot and questioning the inconsistencies, I really enjoyed it! Go into it knowing its going to require logical leaps here and there - but if you just let your imagination carry you through - it’s really cute - and we all liked it.

I was Soooo Not Lazy. I swear. Maybe.

112004-mojo.jpg On Friday, we decided to buy a couple of bikes at Target and take them to a local DJ who was sleeping 55 ft up in the air on a crane until they collected over 600 bikes. Its part of the Marines “Toys for Tots” program. Great idea, right? Well - we bought the bikes already assembled and both of them wouldnt fit in MrZs car. So I had to stand outside Target with the other one and wait for them to drop the first one off. Notice it was raining…luckily I had an awning to stand under. Either way - we did a good thing. And we need all the good karma we can get!

Here you’ll see the picture of me during the Iron Bowl on Saturday. (We’re not discussing the outcome…seriously…for the sake of my marriage!). Can you tell MrZ might have been yelling just a bit? I mean - we’ve never seen all of the dogs pile up on each other like that!

Oh - and that was the only time I spent on the computer all weekend. Well, except for the time I spent at my first Yahoo!IM Blog Party. Thanks for hosting, Genuine.

So, for those of you expecting me to help you with something this weekend? I’m sorry and I suck. Send all hate email to…someone other than me. Thanks. My ego can’t handle that.

Finally? My new table. I’ve had a picnic table for years, but MrZ started getting stuck getting in and out of it, so we bought a folding card table last year to hold us over until we could buy a REAL table. Well - I’m hosting Christmas Dinner this year and I’m VERY excited but I didnt have a place for everyone to sit!

So LilZoot went by his girlfriend’s apartment this weekend and found that her mom was selling their table at a yard sale! For 100 dollars! SCORE!!!! And my card table will fit up against it well enough to allow for eight people! This is my first dining room table. Bask it its glory by clicking on the picture and seeing it bigger. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!

Of course - It wouldnt fit in MrZ’s car (You’d think we’d learn our lesson…) so I had to borrow MrsRum’s minivan to bring the table top home. Thanks MrsRum!

So - that was my weekend, how was yours?

Mmm….Soup Bowls….

LilZ and I have had a brilliant day so far! We’ve been to the post office…we got a dining room table from his girlfriend (more on that later)…we’ve been grocery shopping…and now we’re at Atlanta Bread eating lunch and I’m showing LilZoot the wonders of Free WiFi! How cool are we?

And for lunch? Frontier Chicken Chili in a Sourdough Soup Bowl! Want a bite?
