Turkey, Dressing, Casseroles…Oh My!
Category: Uncategorized |

Is it wrong that I spend all day thinking about eating the Christmas Dinner leftovers for dinner? I’m not sure if it’s because I was so FREAKIN’ proud of how perfect my dinner turned out, or if it’s because the food was just THAT DAMN GOOD.

Either way - I can think of nothing better right now than my FOURTH serving of Christmas Dinner waiting for me in the fridge at home. And at least three or four more meals after that one…at least.

I don’t think that is strange at all, but I am a leftover whore. I would much rather eat it the day after or the day after that!

Hello! You’re talking to the person who had turkey sandwiches for almost every meal, plus Turkey Cacciatore for dinner after Thanksgiving. You have nothing to feel ashamed about.

OH, I do the SAME thing. I LOVE left - overs and crave them!!!!

There is something about holiday leftovers. Any other meal gets dumped in gladware and thrown in the fridge, only to be tossed in the garbage a week later when it gets cleaned out. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner leftovers are entirely different! Our family stakes claims on which dish they get, how much of it, and when it is okay for others to help themselves. I don’t think any of those leftovers have lasted more than 3 or 4 days. Eat up while you can!

I gotta say I myself am sick of the leftovers already. I am craving junk food….like Wendy’s hamburgers or Taco Bell taco supremes. I really enjoyed the leftovers on Sunday….but I have lost the love as of today. :o)
I hope you enjoy yours though!

Ooooh, leftoevers. As we were at my brothers, we didn’t get any this year. Can I come have some of yours?

No shame in turkey left overs. We smoked one for thanksgiving (yes, it takes a really big paper. And they’re hard to roll). A 12 lb bird for 4 people. Leftovers - a huge batch of turkey gumbo. I could eat that for a week straight.

We’re doing another turkey for New Years. You can bet there’ll be gumbo afterwards. I’d invite you up for a bit, but I know how sensitive you are about the cold (we hit -3 last week, but it might get close to 40 by New Years. Woohoo!!)

Eat up! That’s what it’s there for right? Oh, and by the way, sweet bike! Did it come with a horn? Heh.

Hell no, the best part of slaving over the oven is the leftovers! I can eat them over and over again. By the way, I am sure yours are that damn good!

Well, it all depends on what the leftovers are. Last night for instance, I had excellent leftover Indian. For lunch I had grandma’s delicious homemade chicken soup. Tonight I have leftover turkey. Notice the absense of an adjective. Suddenly I’m not so stoked.
