MERRY HO! HO! HO!

These are the pics from Christmas Eve. How handsome is lilZoot? *squee* Click them to see them bigger.

I also wanted to post a few pics from this morning before I get started on my Turkey. First? The traditional “Torture the kid by making him pose for pictures before opening presents” picture I do every year.

And then look at the AWESOME shirt my Mom made me? She rocks and so does the shirt!

And finally…look what Santa brought me! A BIKE! I havent had a bike since I was a kid and I never rode one with GEARS. And look…it has a BASKET and TASSELS and its PINK and I’m in love with it and want to ride it to your house to show it off…can you come out and play?

I’ll come back later and post more pictures…but until then…I wish you a very merry Christmas if you celebrate, and if you Dont? I wish you a Very Merry Saturday!!! Hugs to you all.

This Kind of Cuteness Should be Illegal.

I would LOVE to have a dog that would let me dress it up. Seriously. I know thats the quickest way to get a fire-side condo in Hell (well, second quickest, the FIRST quickest would be taking the name of TARGET in vain), but look at how CUTE my neighbor’s dog, Rosco, is?

We exchanged presents at their house this morning - and it was tons of fun. I took a lot of pictures of the kids an their goodies. But why post THOSE pictures when I could post more cute pictures of dogs in clothes. I mean - this one even includes my adorable husband would would look cuter if he had a MATCHING sweater to wear…

Well - my “list of things to do today” is about 2.4 miles long - so I’d better get back to work. On the top of my list? “Go buy cute red and green Christmas sweater for all my dogs”. Second? “Buy matching sweater for MrZoot”.

Chaos. As Usual.

Well. I went to Wal-Mart at 5:30am, THINKING I’d beat the rush (yeah, right). Then? It was Target, MrZ’s office (he left his lunch at home), Target AGAIN (a return), and then the MALL. It turns out LilZ’s Great-Aunt passed away yesterday and the funeral is tomorrow. Its an aunt on his Dad’s side of the family - so he will go to the funeral with him. We had to run to the mall to pick up a new tie because the only one he has is covered with Christmas Stockings.

What, exactly, is my point?

I’m TIRED. I need a nap. Can you all cover for me? If my Brother-in-Law calls, ask him if his girlfriend is coming for dinner on Christmas. There are three casseroles that need to be prepared and LilZoot’s church clothes need to be ironed. Oh - and don’t forget the wrapping. Thanks. I’ll see you in a few hours.

Zzzzzzz…

Well DAMN.

I wrapped about 20 presents tonight, and I’m nowhere CLOSE to being done. How did I let myself get THIS far behind?

About an hour ago - I said “Thats IT! I’m sick of wrapping presents. Let’s move furniture.” And we did. I am now sitting at the corner desk in my bedroom that USED to be in the guest room. The guest room is now the MUSIC ROOM (with a bed) because we moved LilZoots drums in there to keep his Bass company. The desk that USED to be in my bedroom is NOW in LilZoot’s room. Yep. He has his own desk now. He just spent the last 30 minutes arranging it PER-FECT-LY.

Those are totally MY genes making him do that.

TGIF!

Today is MY Friday for this week, is it yours as well? I’m so excited for Christmas (minus the wrapping, of course). Do you know that even though MrZ and I have been together for almost five years, this will be our first Christmas spent with each other AND with LilZoot!? Our first Christmas as a FAMILY. And I get to host Christmas Dinner!

This is NOT my first Christmas Dinner, though. My first was in this apartment, Christmas 2001. My Ex-husband and I had been split for 2 years, but for various reasons including geography, home renovations, and insanity on MY part, I ended up hosting HIS family’s Christmas. Not only was I hosting Christmas Dinner for my ex-husband’s family (which was ODD to say the least), but I blew up a glass casserole dish, I dropped the ham on the floor (served it anyway - heheh), and I spilled Diet Coke in the homemade mashed potatoes (did NOT serve those).

I’m hoping this one goes a WEE bit smoother.
