The Holidays Are OFFICIALLY Over

Well. As of yesterday – my Holidays are officially over. My Sister-in-law’s birthday was yesterday and ever since MrZoot and I have been together I dont quite bid farewell to the Christmas/New Year’s season until her birthday passes. Mainly because her birthday always involves yummy cake and I feel less guilty about eating it if I group it with the whole “You’re Allowed to be a Glutton During the Holidays” line of thought.

My Sister-in-law turned 16 yesterday. MrZ’s parents suprised her with a new car with a big red bow on the top. It was VERY cool and very fun to be a part of. They also threw her a suprise party on Sunday and that was SO fun! She was so suprised she even got a little teary-eyed. Great stuff.

So. Back to watching what I eat and taking down Christmas decorations. *sigh* But I REFUSE to throw away the last bit of Christmas Cookie Dough. We’ll keep that until every last bit has been eaten. I do have SOME standards, ya’ know.

    MMM, cookie dough.

After our friends Christmas on Sunday, we were all very glad to call an official end to the 2004 Holiday Season. We made an official proclaimation and everything.

Im hanging my head in shame because we threw out a lot of cookies that were made, AND I threw out all the JUNK food in my office because Im TRYING to be good! I HATE TO DIET!!!!! I LOVE to eat!!!! What a sin…..I think naturally skinny people should be taken out and shot! Its so unfair!

We had to throw out some of the cookies the kids decorated due to the high snot and spit content that made them unfit for human consumption and considered a BioHazard!

That’s great MrZ;s lil’ sis had such a great birthday!

Keep the cookie dough! It may come in handy later on…

I’m dreading taking down the Christmas decorations too. My hubby helped me take down our tree and most of the other decorations in the living room, but we haven’t touched the outside lights yet. I’m afraid we may reinact what happened to Rockstar Mommy… ;)

Good for you, Zoot! I’m glad to hear you have standards.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
