I slept MUCH better last night. I wonder why?

I bought both of my boys new underwear this weekend. It feels REALLY good to throw out the holey (HOLY?) pairs, never to be washed again! I would never wear a pair of underwear with holes in it - it would go immediately to the trash. But boys? They’re different. As long as the underwear stays on? Holes be damned, they’ll wear them anyway. Boys are so grody.

I also bought them new socks - but that’s because the old ones keep disappearing. Not because the socks have holes. The sock monster is NOT an urban legend. I promise you that. He/She is living in my laundry room and sharing dog food with Sweetie. AND he has good taste in socks. He steals the nice ones, not the old ones - the bastard.

You know, your post made me realize something: that since our cats have passed on we haven’t lost any socks. As if looking after them wasn’t enough work, I now realize what else they were up to.

I know you don’t intend for wisdom to happen here, so forgive me for this insight!

It is so true. As long as that elastic waist band is holding some kind of fabric up, they’ll wear them. HOW??! Or maybe a better question would be why. Why do they do that?

I LOVE having the excuse to go to Target and get new socks and underwear. Of course, it happens MAYBE once a year, but it’s still such a good feeling. :)
Glad you got a good night’s sleep! You’re sleeping for two!

I love new underwear and socks. We have another problem in this house - T-Shirts. Just your run-of-the-mill tees that my husband can’t seem to get rid of unless I throw a temper tantrum and throw them out while he’s not looking.

Glad you slept better! You need every minute of sleep you can get, momma!

Oh my Gawd… ROFL… I was just bitching at my husband (and have been for like a month now) that he absolutely can not wear underwear that are torn that badly!! He said, like the smartass he can be, “There is a LOT of life left in them”…bah! Well, two days ago, he got new drawls! Im a happy wife now.

On my first visit to Chris’s parents house. He brought all his laundry to him mom. turns out some of mine was in there too…later that night we all had drinks and his mom brought out about 10 pairs of MY holey underwear and told Chris she was throwing them out (thinking SOMEHOW they were his). I WAS MORTIFIED! Although for that Christmas she gave me about 20 LOVELY pairs in a fancy little bag….GAH!

So true! Pookiesdad would wear holey underwear forever if I didn’t go through them and throw them out. He always gets new ones for Christmas too. lol Glad to hear you slept well. Get all the sleep you can now cause you’ll need it later!

I love buying new underwear at Target. For my husband and for me - but I haven’t been able to buy myself any cute underwear in weeks cause my ass is just growing and growing and growing! Wahhh!

I think sometimes I’m married to a girl b/c J is very picky about his underwear. Either that or he just throws things away quickly. ;)

Yup, I believe in the sock monster. My family finally understood that he is much too powerful for us so… We threw in the sock. Heh.

    Zoot -
Good news yesterday!!! Very excited for the Zoot household!

I would love to know what it is the sock monster is doing will all of the socks…possibly creating an alternative fuel source so when we run out of oil the Sock Monster can dominate the world…..

I wanted to stop by and say CONGRATS!!! I have been out of town and away from internet (SAD) and just read about your news today…I am so happy for you, sweetie!!! I just kinda knew this would happen for you. You deserve it.

I do not know how I, a single person who does laundry once a week, am missing at least 10 socks since I moved into this place last May. I’m annoyed! (Since most of them seem to be my new Christmas socks.)
