I do not believe that Rob and Amber just drove by the wreck cackling at the injured people, and that Lynn and Alex were the oppposing saviors. NO. Think about it, if you needed help and KNEW other cars were coming, wouldn’t you stand out and wave them down? Yes. Was anyone doing that? No. Because there was OBVIOUSLY already another car there stopped. They just QUICKLY interpretted the situation and made a quick decision from there. Granted - it looked harsh - BUT - I don’t honestly believe they are the evil people Lynn and Alex make them out to be and I SURE AS HELL do not thin Lynn and Alex are the NOBLE people they make THEMSELVES out to be.
All of that said? OH MY GOD. That was the BEST finish ever because it was TIGHT but MY TEAM WON. (Yes. The Brothers are now MY TEAM because we have decided they are hysterical and we love them. Especially the going home to Mom part.)
Meridith and Gretchen? Y’all GOTTA read the clue. Many people lost the entire race because they didn’t read the clue.
I also think taking all of their possessions away was an okay idea. It gave them MORE of a disadvantage on FUTURE legs. The whole “No Money” thing only sucked for one leg, but I believe the team that SHOULD HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED should have a disadvantage that lasts longer. BUT - I worry about them! What if it gets cold!?
I reallly like Joyce and Uchenna.
There is no way in HELL I would EVER do that water tower crossing thing. In case you were wondering.
See everyone, I told you she’d have some different opinions than I did..I knew she’d have a good idea about the Rob and Amber thingy…..AND…I knew she, like I would NEVER do that tower thing…ever….Morning Zoot…how are you today?
Rob is just a fierce competitor… love him or hate him, he’s not there to lose. I think that Joyce and Uchenna are awesome. GOod competitors, good couple, good people. The fact they took clothes to the old folks? Class act. And the old folks? Gotta love their spirit and the fact they hold each other up. I hope Mr. Belle and I support each other like they do. I love the brothers as well. I like cohesive teams.
The minute Ray said something like “stick to your role” about her driving, he was on my list to get off the show. So, when the running to the pit stop thing began, I was like “go go go” for the brothers. There was actual cheering when the brothers got their first.

those two old people are hilariously inept. What are they doing there?! Did you not love the bandage they gave her? HIL-AR-IOUS!
Was it just me or did anyone else think Ray beat Deena….the further along the show goes, the crappier she looks! Last night it looked like she had a swollen eye after they won the Fast Forward, and then in the next episode, a split lip!
As for Rob and Amber, I was extremely disappointed that they didn’t at least slow down, roll down the window and say “everyone okay?” like everyone else did.
I SO love the brothers, they’re awesome. And I’m glad an older couple is making it so far.
As for Rob and Amber…I like them some…they’re funny…but if it wasn’t for their fame they wouldn’t have come even half as far as they have.
Its because of you that I decided to give this show a chance this season. And its because of you that I am not an addict.
I am SSOOO happy that Ray and Deanna are gone. Can he be a bigger dick to her? I think Rob and Amber should be out next. Anyway I haven’t decided who I like better, the brothers or the boyfriends…
Rob and Amber not stopping didn’t bother me a bit. Rob and Amber being bratty about other people using their own tactics against them? Irritating. And I normally love them so I hope they are back to normal next week.
That being said, I love the brothers so much. I was screaming when they beat Ray and Deanna!
I missed the end because my favorite show ever (The Shield) was on at 10 and I don’t have tivo. Who won?!?! I don’t know names.
I only know Rob and Amber so you lost me up top. haha.
The old lady annoys me a LOT, but they’re cute at the same time because they are fighters and won’t give up… so I’m confused on if I should like them or dislike them.
Ray was starting to remind me of Jonathan from the previous race. Good to see him go.
Rob & Amber not stopping? No biggie. They could see someone else had stopped and it is A RACE for crying out loud. Plus there’s camera crews, all sorts of support around - they had more than enough help.
This has been one of the better races as far as competitors go though. Except for Ray, most everyone else seems to have a positive attitude and isn’t whining about what they have to do. Well, now that momma’s boy & his mom are gone too.
Another blogger who watches TAR. Woohoo!
I’m somewhat indifferent on this season just because I feel like there’s no competition going on…except for AmRob..who I don’t like but fully admire their game. Hmm.
I’ve been trying to get here all morning to read your 2 cents about last nights 2 hour AR, people should quit asking me to work…
Anyway, I’m glad you had an excuse for Rob & Amber, because I was lost…I loved the woman that helped them in the market, if it weren’t for the generosity of strangers they wouldn’t have made it this far. Even though I love them and want them to stay to the end, I don’t want them to win. I’m rooting for Uchenne & Joyce, when they went to the childrens home I was reduced to a kleenex using machine and swore my undying devotion to their win.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me a perfectly plausible reason for excusing Rob & Amber’s not stopping at the accident. Or at least as perfect as I need.
I dislike Lynn & Alex all the more after last night - not for stopping, because that was a decent thing to do, but for martyring themselves as they gossiped with the other teams.
And after seeing Deanna’s face in the interview (though I think the black eye & fat lip came from Ray “accidentally” hitting her with the grinding pole), I decided that if there’s ever an all-star Amazing Race, Deanna & Victoria should be on one team, Ray & Jonathan on another.
I’m so glad the brothers beat Ray & Deanna. I’ll bet Ray’s still snarking about the fact that the “oldsters” did better than he.
My favorite teams are the brothers & Uchenna & Joyce. I hope both of them make the finals.
I seriously doubt that I would’ve made it across the nuke’s cooling tower. Maybe if I was on my hand & knees.
I would have been much more forgiving of Rob and Amber not stopping for the accident if they had said that the existence of help was their reason when Phil asked about it. Instead, Rahb shrugged it off with “it’s a race!”
The brothers rock in all kinds of ways. I loved when they were “reading” the clue of “Go hug your mom, eat all of her chicken enchildada and go into a food coma.” I love that they were remorseful about the accident, and that the cared about the welfare of the driver, and that they didn’t give up when things looked grim (unlike whiny Patrick last week.) I loved their “don’t do drugs!” advice to the orphans.
Yeah, oldsters for beating out ‘roid Ray! They’re just plucky!
