Here is a picture of our cake from the soccer party last night. Pretty rockin’ huh? The kids and the parents got a big kick out of it and I’m glad we did it. I had to give a speech to give the coaches their gifts and I actually LIVED THROUGH IT. Of course, I totally tried to cut the cake before the OTHER coach was done talking, but I guess that’s better than me collapsing to the floor in a fetal position crying.
Here is the coach giving LilZ his medal. He also said a few words about the mad skillz I possessed at being the Team Mom. Well, he didn’t use the words “Mad Team-Momming Skillz” or anything, but I knew that’s what he meant. English is his second language so the hip slang isn’t something he uses a lot. But trust me, he WOULD have, had he known it.
He also took a moment to thank MrZ for being the unofficial Lineman/Line Ref for the season. It was just something he assumed MrZoot would do every game, which was fine by MrZ. Since he played soccer in college, he also provided some officiating input when we were lacking official refs (which was almost every game). So - we ALL go honored last night - we’re totally cool.

Woo-Hoo for the Zoots and the Flying Chipmunks of Doom! I think that’s going to be the official tagline of the next US Men’s Soccer team in the olympic games
Can I just say that? Is officially the COOLEST team name EVER. Congrats on all the accolades, Zoot family!
So I’m assuming you Tivo’ed the amazing race… Romber shot themselves in the foot!
Flying Chipmunks of Doom? WOW! That is even better than The Bad News Bears.
Congrats to all.

Congrats Lil’Z! That’s awesome that you guys were a big part of that. People like you make kids enjoy sports alot more. (Okay sorry, that sounds cheesy.)
Love the cake! Though now I’m hungry…
Yahoo for the Zoots! Soccer family extraordinaire!
Congrats LilZ.
That coach looks way familiar… hmm.
I think I will sign my sons up for fall soccer if they still want to play then. I don’t know if they’ll choose that, football, or flag football. Decisions, decisions!
You were a team mom? I admire you! With two boys on two different baseball teams, I am out of the house every day of the week, and it’s all I can do just to get them where they need to be!
