Well, it’s summertime, which means nothing but reruns and crap on TV. This is why we, here in the Zoot household, enjoy the summer tradition of Big Brother on CBS. And today? They announced the houseguests. The show starts NEXT Thursday, July 7th. There are 14 houseguests this year (instead of 12) and the house is TWO STORIES. Woo! We all know that means TWO times the excitement!
Or something like that.
Supposedly, this season is also the “summer of suprises”. We had the season of the “Exes” two years ago - where half the houseguests had previously dated the other half. We had the “Twins” season last year, where two identical twins switched places the entire first half of the season. So who the hell KNOWS what this year’s “suprises” could be.
Maybe well find out, halfway through the season, that some of the houseguests practice Scientology! Or they are fans of Russell Crowe! Or maybe, we’ll simply know that SOMEONE in the house is an alien, and each week that goes by with the alien being undiscovered, the evicted houseguests are fattened and primed for the creature’s victory feast.
THAT would be good television.

*Sulk* Your Big Brother is so much better than ours (UK). And they showed the “Exes” season over here but it didn’t really get many viewers so they haven’t bought anymore seasons. Seriously, people are obsessed with the ongoings of BBUK over here but so I am THE ONLY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY THAT HATES IT. Also, while I am slightly against US remakes of classic British TV, you really do our reality shows so much better.
I’ve never seen this show but now I think I might just go check it out.

I live in Alabama as well and I work in a car dealership in Birmingaham, a dealership that the twins Adria and Natalie from last seasons Big Brother frequent quite a bit. Let me just tell you they have to tell me everytime they come that they were on Big Brother and talk about attitudes. Whew, I was rooting for them during the show but after I actually have had to deal with them I am so glad they didnt. Anywas just wanted to stop lurking around your site and be known as well as give ya that tid-bit. I am eager for this season. Have a superific day~!
I LOVE Big Brother. And we are going on vacation from the 9th-17 to visit relatives that I KNOW will not be watching that. Oh well.
My guess about the suprise twist? Did you notice that there are 6 boys and 8 girls instead of an even number of each? I think one of the girls, isnt a girl… if you know what Im saying. And I think it is that blonde VIP cocktail waitress.
House guest first impressions… Doesn’t Rachel look (at least from the bio pic) like Amanda Peet? And Janelle…? Screams high maintenance. Eric is the oldest guest in the house at 36? What’s up with that? I believe there’s always been a least one guest in their 40’s before. You know… someone who represents the “more mature” view of things. I can say this because I am lucky enough to be in my “more mature” years now!
I finally found someone else who is obsessed w/ Big Brother. Love, love, love that show. My husband says he hates it yet when summer rolls around he can’t help but be sucked into the reality tv goodness that is Big Brother. July 7th get here soon!

Where are the old people and the people from small towns. Seems like every year they keep getting worse about getting hot young studs and pretty girls.
