You know? I like the CONCEPT of having every Friday off for the last three weeks. It’s nice to have three day weekends. And it’s nice to have a full day with LilZ BEFORE I send him off to his Dad’s for the weekend. But this is just me trying to make the BEST of a rank situation.
In reality? It’s stressing me out. The tighter budget, the job instability, the not being able to plan more than a week ahead because “I don’t know how many hours they’ll let me work that week,” it all sucks donkey ass.
But still. No work today. So, yay!
I’ve been turning these Fridays into my errand days, which is nice. I’m taking two of the three dogs to the vet this morning for their annual checkups. LilGirl got hers last week with the eye visit. Cisco and LilGirl love the vet, because that’s where we board them, and they LOVE being boarded.
(I know. Our dogs are insane. What do you expect?)
On the other hand…Sweetie? She’s kinda mixed about it. So, LilZ will be a big help this morning, I’m sure. In short? I have the day off because my company doesn’t have enough money to pay me. So, I schedule an errand to run that will cost me somewhere between 600-700 dollars. Fun Times.
But, Friday off…yay?

Our dog loves to be boarded, too…. but more than that - she LOVES to go to the vet. She bounds into the office like she owns the place, puts her front feet on the counter and looks the receptionist right in the face like, “Are you as happy to see me as I am to see you??” Then, when she’s getting blood drawn or shots, she’s licking the doctor the ENTIRE time. “You’re touching me! HOORAY! I don’t care why you’re touching me - you’re touching me!” Silly freaking dog.
Don’t forget about Monday. Hooray for 4-day weekends… even better!
Yay for Friday’s off! It’s great that you can put a positive spin on it. Now the vet bill? Um…Yay for Friday’s off!
One of the most awful things for a pregnant woman is instability. When I was pregnant last year, we were still trying to iron out our housing plans. ANd I freaked out, not knowing if I’d have a home to live in after the baby came. Honestly can’t imagine having to deal with financial instability… You have my sympathies. *hugs*
Your doggies like to be board? HA! that’s good, makes you feel less guilty when you have to leave em’
Happy Friday!
I felt that way when I became a SAHM, YAY! I can get sooo much done, Yeah, so much blogging and so much money spent! Not so good. But Yay, Fridays off!
