My HERO

Oh. My. Sweet. God. In. Heaven.

MrZ just killed the BIGGEST hornet I’ve ever seen in my ENTIRE life. And I’m not even exaggerating. It was so big I’m thinking it was actually NOT a very large hornet, but maybe a very small dragon. Or dinosaur. SCARY. I would have taken a picture but I was too busy being all “OHMIGOD don’t get that thing NEAR ME! eeeeek GET IT AWAY FROM ME!”

(Yes. It was already dead at that time. Imagine if I would have seen it ALIVE.)

And then he threw it away. So, no picture. But trust me. GI-GAN-TIC. HUGE. MON-STROUS. SC-A-RY.

This totally makes up for him getting all pissy this morning about bikes and stuff in the garage.

    That’s the great thing about having a husband – when you feel like screaming like a girl, they’ll kill the bugs for you. I’m that way with roaches. *shudder*

    What did he want in the garage? A car? LOL. As long as he killed the KILLER HORNET he can remain at hero status!

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.
