Guess what I did yesterday? Come on…guess!
No.
Nope.
Not that.
Come on…of course I didn’t do THAT!
I wish.
Nope.
Okay, you give up? I’ll tell you. I sat down, went through the last 9 months of digital photos on the computer, uploaded 61 of them to a photo album at Walmart.com, and then went to pick up the prints an hour later. And I only paid 19 cents/print. CAN YOU BELIEVE THE EASE? First of all - I am not a fan of photo printers. In reality? Unless you spend, like 500 dollars? I have NEVER EVER EVER been as please with the output of a photo printer as I have been with the Target photo lab. I also think ink is WAY too expensive for me to print up as many pictures as I would like to. So you see? Economically AND aesthetically it has always been better to take the digital images to a photolab, rather than try to do it from home.
BUT - it’s never been really convenient UNTIL NOW. I mean, I uploaded the photos and then picked them up AN HOUR LATER. It was brilliant and I was SO excited. Now? My photo wall will be even MORE complete, if I can just find some more frames. And maybe take another 60 or so pictures in to be developed. Just for the hell of it. Because ITS SO DAMN EASY.
When businesses come up with ways to sponsor my laziness? Everyone wins.

Heh, are you getting paid for this? If not, you should be.
It’s actually quite a good idea, getting bloggers to throw in recommendations for products, come to think about it. With the readership and loyal fans, they would work a lot better than Google Ads. I am sooo off to market this idea…
As usual, Miss Zoot, you are FUH-REAKING me out. Too many times, TOO MANY TIMES, your posts reflect something I am doing OR going through. No lying. Good grief.
On Friday, I started the process of organizing my photos, also - digital AND hard copy. I am determined that all old photos will be easily accessible because as much as I love taking photos of my silly CATS, I can only imagine how much I will love taking pics of my little guy coming October. I want everything cleaned up, so all I have to worry about in the future, are NEW pictures.
I agree with you regarding “home printing”. I am not a big fan of it. For photo printing in mass quantities, I use http://www.photoworks.com. They deliver within 2 days and once you order from them, they are very good about sending frequent coupons as well. I used them for our Christmas cards and will definitely be using them for our birth announcements.
Love the new design! It looks fabulous.
Also: I can upload digital photos to my local grocery store’s site. It’s not an hour later, but I can pick them up when I buy my groceries, which is pretty lazy.
Once again, Target to the rescue!
So, when you point out your blog/ad, will they lower your price to 15 cents?
Not that this has anything to do with pictures, but did you hear Sean Astin is gonna be on next season’s 24?
OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE the walmart photo processing online. And if you don’t want to have to venture into WallyWorld you can have it sent to your home!
Thanks for the walmart tip… I’m SO going there tomorrow!!
By the way, I LOVE your new design (even if its temporary), it actually fits my browser without having to scroll lol.
I agree on the home photo printing - it’s so expensive! My current fav is snapfish.com - I’ve gotten my prints down to 12 cents! Yee! But, you do have to wait for the mail. But still - 12 cents and I don’t have to leave the house. Niiiiice. My problem is that I only pick a few to print from my digital albums, so I have nice online albums that make sense, but then I have a few random prints. Not enough for an album or scrapbook, just some random prints. So now what do I do with them? Glad the blog is up and working and I love LOVE the bedding you picked out. I love dragon flies and flady bugs - so sweet!!!
Hey Zoot -
If you’re in the mood, i tagged you for a 5 song meme. If not, blame it on the weather!!
Anne
oh i KNOW! And I’m soooo not a walmart person. The best part!? No waiting in line!
groovy new design ZOOT!
Oh man, Zoot, how have I not heard of this before? I just spent an hour uploading and ordering a million pictures. Thank you so much for the tip!
