We’ve quickly made a list of things we need since we’ve been home with a new human. For example, we needed some garbage cans with lids to keep dogs from eating yummy things like diapers and burp residue! (We have a diaper genie for her bedroom). We also needed a few grocery items to make it through the week with two adults staying at home all day. And, of course, we needed more halloween candy since we have eaten all of the stuff we bought for the trick-or-treaters.
So - I decided to brave a trip to Target. I planned it so that LilZ and I would leave as soon as I fed NikkiZ so that we would have a solid two hours before I was needed again. I was moving VERY slowly so I told LilZ he had time to shop around for his stuff (he had a gift card to spend) while I got fun things like maxi pads and Advil. After about five minutes I realized I was in WAAAY over my head. We made it out of there alive with a buggy full of groceries and LilZ unloaded all of the stuff both into my trunk and into the house when we got home. I don’t know what part wore me out first, pushing the buggy, walking, thinking, bending for items on bottom shelves, or just dealing with people who DIDN’T have a baby cut out of them four days ago.
Either way? I feel wasted. I think that should hold me over until my appointment Wednesday to get my staples out. And then? I’m making MrZ carry me everywhere so that I don’t have to walk. I’m through with the walking.
HOLY SHIT WOMEN! Did you forget you just had a baby cut out of you. PLEASE for the love of all things holy sit down and RELAX!
Now, what makes you think you’re supposed to be running all over kindom come right after having major surgery? Listen up girlie, you’re supposed to be taking it easy! Ya know, sitting in a comfy chair eating Halloween candy, (I know I ate all mine already too) and watching the tube! All you gotta do is nurse that baby!

I wasn’t allowed to drive for at least a week after my c-sections! Didn’t they tell you not to drive silly girl?? I’m glad you made it home without having to sit down in the middle of the floor at Target!
You have a great lil guy there to help you! I wish he could give some lessons to my nephew! I hope “you” are feeling better soon.

didn’t anyone tell you you just had a baby! major surgery!! trust me.. you need to rest. your body needs to rest. My doctor didn’t let me drive for 6 weeks b/c he didn’t want my incision to rip. I cannot believe you were out today - okay,I’m done yelling at you

Amen, the site’s finally back up! If I had a husband half as cool as lil zoot (yeah, the lil one!), i’d count myself a lucky woman. How cool is he?!?!?! And, srsly, I think it’s time to spring the 7 bucks for home delivery of the groceries (if youhave that there)… that’s what this modern age is for! Y’all take a day just to hang out with each other. I’m so happy for you all.
You had a baby 4 days ago and you went to Target and drove there yourself? MY God I did not manage to go out on my own for weeks after I had my son and I did not have a cesaren. Rest and take care of yourself and NikkiZ is getting more beautiful everyday
