Remember my camera issues?. After the second time of having to send my camera back (through Best Buy) for repairs, I said:
I refused to say the name of the repair company because I didn’t want someone to avoid them based on my BAD experience. I was hoping it was just a one-time thing. Even though they sent my camera back with one of the problems still there (after TWO visits, but we’re not sending it back for a third try until after summer…maybe never now). Tommy just sent me an email that said:
Here’s how the photos were probably stolen… James Haven, Angelina’s brother, was the original photographer. His camera broke upon his return home,so he brought it into Best Buy, where it had been purchased, and asked for it to be repaired per its warranty. Best Buy then sent the camera to Precision Camera and Video Repair in Enfield, CT. According to sources who spoke with TMZ, Bill Keyes and Adam Beckwith, two of the repair shop employees downloaded the photos from the camera and showed them around and allegedly offered them for sale.

Did I mention that even though my camera has been back for awhile, it’s still not fixed? One of the orignal problems was an issue with the USB port on the actual camera. Now, that was a low-priority issue since it doesn’t keep the camera from working and I just use my card-reader to get pictures off, but still. After the summer we’re going to have to send it back for the THIRD TIME. Maybe Best Buy will just send my camera to the manufacturer this time.
So, not only do they suck at fixing cameras? They also like to invade the privacy of celebrities. My favorite celebrities, to be exact. DAMN THEM!

That was sleazy of the repair company, but what idiot send a camera off to be repaired with such highly valuable photso’s still on the memory stick???
That transcends regular old annoying bad service, and enters into new, uncharted territories of bad service. I hope those guys know that the universe tends to keeps track of karma points with a great deal of Precision. Har. Har.

You can bet that now Best Buy will change service companies!
While laws vary from state to state (and you would need to check with your State Attorney General for specifics), you are starting to come up in Lemon Law territory if it is not fixed correctly the next time.
These guys will be sorry they did this when they are fired because Precision gets sued, and have no doubts about it, if the story is true they WILL be sued.
YOu know what is really sad? I changed the outgoing name on my e-mail months ago to “Tommy Vercetti/ Tommy Two Tone” for one e-mail to my BF. being stupid because that is the name of our cat. I guess I never changed it back! I am mortified at the fact I have been sending e-mails out like that to sane people! Sorry Zoot, you must think I am insane.
Now I must go think about who I have sent e-mails with the outgoing like that! GAH!!!
I saw that story yesterday and instantly thought it must be the same company that worked on your camera.
I’m finally done dealing with precision camera in Conneticut after they had my
$500 camara for 4 months. They totally suck.
They drag their feet and never give you reasons for the delays. They never returned my phone calls after asking them to do so
five or more times. Oh yea, the kicker is
I get the camara back July 5. It gets even better because they say they fixed it but would
be obvious to anyone that it is not. It is still broken. Their services SuCk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
