Send your thought to the other families here

Many of you have emailed me asking about the horrible bus crash that has happened here today. It is an honest tragedy, but no one in my family was involved. There are, however, many family who have been affected so I encourage you to keep them in your thoughts. There are mixed reports about number of deaths, number of injuries, and the cause of the accident. Tragedies that happen around the holidays always seem to have a darker tone to them because this is normally supposed to be a happy time of year. Keep all of these children and their families in your thoughts today.

I was just getting ready to e-mail you when I saw that you’d posted this update. I am so sorry to hear about the accident, and can only imagine what the Huntsville community is going through today. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I heard about this on the radio earlier and was relieved to know it was not a bus from LilZ’s school. It is still very sad, and I will keep those families in my prayers.

I’m thinking that it is a good thing I found out about it from you and not on the news…How sad so very sad

This is soo sad! I hate tragedies like this and the fact that it takes things like this sometimes to remind us how very fortunate we are to be healthy and alive. Remember that post you did awhile back asking about input on cell phones for kids (LilZ), and I haven’t gotten one for my daughter, but after reading this and the fact that kids called their parents from the scene, I sure am thinking twice about getting that “emergency cell phone”. Your town is in my thoughts.

Thanks for posting, Zoot. I was thinking of Lilz and this is the first chance I had to get to the com;uter once I heard the news!
    Sending prayers to your town.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
