Birthday Boy
29 years ago today, my future best friend was born. Things that have been on his mind this last week of year 28: Our new TV, NikkiZ’s latest ability to “shhh” the dogs, LilZ’s crazy middle school stories, putting together furniture to hold that new TV, Mike Shula’s potential replacement as the coach of the Crimson Tide football team, and My Ass (which he finds to be smokin’). He obsesses on variations of that list constantly. That list right there pretty much sums him up in a nutshell. He’s a Mr. Fix It who loves electronics, football, his kids, and his wife. I couldn’t ask for more in a husband.
Okay. That’s a lie. Of course I could ask for more. Like someone who will discuss Britney Spears’ current downward spiral as fervently as I can. Or someone who could wax my eyebrows. Or highlight my hair. Or possibly a husband who was a seamstress (seamster? huh?) – how awesome would that be! He could make my clothes!
Wait. Where was I? Oh yeah. He’s perfect in every way. Seriously. Even if he still scoffs at my avoidance of left-hand turns.
