I’m a failure

Well. November is over. We can all bid farewell to NaBloPoMo 2006. It looks like I failed since I set my own goal at 100 entries for this month. I blame it on the Thanksgiving Holidays and my dead laptop. I still think 75 entries in one month is DAMN good, especially considering they all had words in them. I was tempted to just upload pictures several times, but opted not because I felt like that was cheating. Like there is some sort of blog militia running around policing these things.

I would like to draw attention to one specific NaBloPoMo participant who I think used the challenge in a fantastic way. Schnozzfest used the month of November to write every entry about her husband and their courtship. Of course, it definitely wasn’t the story of boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl get married and live happily ever after. Definitely not. It was, however, an amazing story of how relationships and the people in them can grow and change. There were parts that simply moved me, while others cracked me up. Seriously. When you have time, I suggest the read the whole month.

That Schnozzfest month was the greatest month evar. I could NOT STOP READING IT, and my God, if I could read the whole month at once, I would, instead of the waiting. WAITING! OMG.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
