As far as the comment about how many kids can you take care of, we had a story locally just this week where the family had thirteen children and left a four year old at the park alone. Now though I am 28 and my parents have been married for thirty years. They are divorcing. My mother didn't work as she and my dad agreed she would stay at home to raise my sister and I. So she has not worked in 30 years and now my dad is gone. She has an education from 1969 and her last job was as a waitress in 1977. It is going to be hard for her to make ends meet now (though my sister and I will not let our mother go without.) and no one will even consider her for even a part time position. What I am trying to say is that now we feel that her decission to stay at home is now going to hurt her. This is something that you can never know while your life is being played out. My whole family had the stomach bug last week. I was the only one to escape it. Yesterday all three of them started complaining of the same symptoms AND a sore throat with it!
