Beer and Yogurt…what more do you need?
Category: Domestic Me |

MrZ is trying to get NikkiZ to take a nap. He has much better luck than I do because he’ll stick with rocking her until she falls asleep, whereas I’ll get antsy and just give up and let her miss her nap. However, I can’t be around while he’s doing it or she’ll try to run to me. So, I’m locked up in the bedroom until she’s asleep. She was going to follow me in here until MrZ said, “Come here, NikkiZ. I have beer and yogurt!” I don’t know what is funnier, that he is drinking beer with his yogurt, or that she followed him excitedly after hearing those words.

I finally took down the outdoor Christmas directions today. Most of our neighborhood still has theirs up, so I feel pretty on-the-ball about the whole thing. Now all of the containers of Christmas crap will sit in the garage until some time in March when I finally get off my ass and take them to the attic.

I’ll spend the rest of the day doing stuff around the house because MrZ is going to Nashville to see a hockey game with his Dad and brother. Since LilZ is at his Dad’s - its just the girls today. We were going to get pedicures, but they couldn’t squeeze us in. So - dusting and laundry.

What are YOUR plans for today?

We’re going to do the same, take down the Christmas deco. Or try to. The difference is, boxes in the garage is considered put away around here. Our storage options suck. Oh well. Lol!

It must be the thing to do today. I am cleaning out my closet, I have already thrown away 6 bags of garbage and bundled up 3 bags of either brand new clothes with tags, or something that is new without tags. I really need a handle on this complusive shopping.. The decorations are coming down as well, but I have only so many hours in a day…. Tonight is my night and I am going out to see a movie! Something girly and silly, because it’s my night!

Same. Inside Christmas decorations today and outside tomorrow. You’d think that we’d have a lot since it’s been delegated to two days, but that’s not the case, just shear laziness that’s preventing it from being completed today.

    Have fun just you girls!

Cleaning & laundry here as well & organizing my desk to prepare for taxes and new files for 2007 receipts. You would weep at my organization in that regard.

We took our Christmas decorations down today, too, but it wasn’t too bad thanks to this outrageously warm weather in the northeast. I’m wearing cropped pants and flip flops, for goodness’ sake. It’s not that I don’t enjoy it, but I’m just waiting for a giant fireball from the sky as another sign of the apocalypse.

I will be wishing I was cleaning, while instead attending (ahem… sort of hosting) the ridiculous surprise/joint birthday party for my sister and the boyfriend we all hate. I’m soo looking forward to it. Ugh.

Oh how lovely that sounds! I won’t waste comment space so you’ll just have to read my latest post. I know, I’m sorry but you’ll understand once you read it.

Warning it involves sheets of ice, and thawing of pipes. And perhaps thinking twice about living in rural Alaska.

Christmas decorations down!! It is 12th Night, so the kick off of Mardi Gras Season starts today. I am going to find a king cake soon and have a few dozen pieces, going to the first Mardi Gras parades (short on the streetcar line) and there is a few other celebrations going on around town. It is amazing how much you can get done around the house when you get up early and get your butt in gear!!

  9. Isabel Says:

Hey, I took down (most) of our decorations today also.

    And then I did laundry.

And now I’m getting ready to write my “Thank Yous” for Christmas presents!!

    Have a fun day!

I rented a storage unit and cleaned all the crap off the porch! About dang time, I say!
