I just want to be one of the cool, stressed kids.
Category: Sometimes I'm Krazee |

I’ve had the headache for about four days now, just in case you were wondering. I’ve learned something about my persistent headaches: they make me want to eat constantly. I’ve eaten non-stop for four days. I ate FOUR PIECES of ice-cream cake on Saturday. FOUR. It’s just eat and eat and eat and…eat. Depression does the same thing to me. So does stress. Sometimes Mondays make me want to eat too, just because they just suck. So, since I’m a wee depressed, and stressed, and I have this headache, and it’s Monday - I’ve been eating nonstop all day. SERIOUSLY. I think I need to find other ways to cope.

Maybe I should start drinking?

(Just kidding.)

And you know? My life is actually really boring. Why do I feel so stressed? When I was in college - life was MUCH harder. Classes, work, poverty, motherhood all WITHOUT MrZ there by my side. Now I can go to bed 9pm if I want, the bills get paid, and I have a hot husband waiting for me at home. Why am I stressed? Who in the hell knows. I’m thinking I just feel left out because everyone else in my life has big things going on: College admissions, wedding planning, home repairs, job hunting - things that are really stressful. I guess I feel left out so I’m all, “I have had a headache. For four days. I’m stressed. Give me chocolate.”

Hmm, maybe thats why I’ve been eating all day? Its Monday. I think I’ll use that excuse all week long. Its Thursday, ok? Let me eat.

Oh, and sorry ’bout the headache.

Grrreat. You just made the 7months pregnant lady over here call her hubby to pick up a Baskin Robins Icecream cake. LOL
    Thank you ;)

Sometimes you can feel stressed and depressed for no other reason than “It’s January.” These things often don’t need a reason, which I think makes them all the more infuriating. I’ve been dragging lately myself, but I have a feeling its because I haven’t been taking my thyroid meds. Oops.

I am one of your lurkers. Thought I would respond to this one. Callistawolf is right about being depressed in January. I saw somewhere that I think it was January 21 was the most depressed day. They figure because it is cold and people are getting their bills from christmas. I hope you feel better. I have had headaches off and on for a year and I think it is hormones. Perimenopause is for the birds.

I just ate two frosted strawberry PopTarts for you. Because I’m a good invisible friend that way. Hope the headache goes away soon. Dehydration? That one feels like a sheer strip of pain right across the forehead, usually. Buy yourself some of that water that’s fruity, Zooty.

I’m in a similar state of stress…I handled myself much better when I was actually busy in school and working and now that I stay at home with my two boys, I feel more overwhelmed and freak out about stupid stuff. My conclusion in my case is now that I have more time to devote unwarranted attention to such trivial matters, I do.

Maybe “the funk” is going around because I’ve been in the same boat. I can’t put my finger on what it is, but it feels like a splinter in my mind and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve been depressed for a few days now and i can’t shake it. I’m a tad on the stressed side as well. Popping advils like m&ms.

Have you been drinking less diet coke, btw? The lack of caffeine could be the source of the headaches. If not, then maybe it’s just “the funk”. I blame it on a lot of things ;)

I’m not stressed either and yet, somehow, I was able to convince my husband we needed to go to Chipotle for dinner tonight. And I’m not going to tell you how much of it I ate.
