I definitely need to get better about waxing my eyebrows
I was asking MrZ to set the DVR to record Ugly Betty last night. As usual he referred to the show as Ugly Douchebag. Now, MrZ actually likes the show. He doesn’t watch it every week with me, but when he does, he enjoys it. I whined to him, “Don’t say that! It’s my favorite show EVER in the history of TELEVISION.” He rolled his eyes at my obvious exaggeration. He knows me well enough to know that Golden Girls was my favorite show EVER.
He said, “It’s her eyebrows. They make me crazy.”
I have mentioned several times that MrZ has this thing. My eyebrows are as curly as my head hair, so they periodically go a little crazy. This makes MrZ a little crazy and he’ll chase after me licking his thumbs and smooshing down my eyebrows. He’s not one to be superficial, but he is the one who will subtlety point out if I’m due for a waxing.
“You are awfully vain, you know.” At which point he said, “I have no control over it! It’s like being gay. You’re just born that way. It’s not something you can turn off. It is inside here,” and he patted to his heart. Saying his aversion to crazy eyebrows is rooted in his HEART. It cracked. me. up. It’s those moments and that sense of humor that makes today, our seven-year Valiversary, feel just as fresh as the first time he made me laugh.
Happy Valiversary, baby. You are totally worth painful waxings once in awhile.
This is a Me!Too! comment, but directed towards your husband regarding the eyebrows. Crazy eyebrows drive ME crazy.
I love Ugly Betty, but the braces and the brows would be a nice makeover.

Is he picky about other stuff, or is it just eyebrows? Didn’t Betty get a little of an eyebrow wax in an episode? I don’t think it helped.
Good luck with the waxing. That darn wax always irritates my skin. And it hurts like hell.

My OH is also oddly vain about grooming (me), but he’s not superficial at all. Weird. Although it used to annoy me, at least when we leave the house, I can be sure I’m not unknowingly covered in dog hair. I love MrZ’s description that it’s just part of him…very cute indeed
haha I am a crazy eyebrow girl too…they tend to creep up on me and I don’t notice they need to be taken care of until it’s WAY too late. I was thinking about you during the OC last night. I got kinda teary thinking that next Thursday is the last episode. (yes I am that lame) Do you think they are going to leave Newport now that things turned out the way they did?

I think I would rather have my eyebrows waxed than to have them flattened down with saliva. I’m just sayin’…
Tim doesn’t have a unibrow, but he does have a freakishly long eyebrow hair every once in a while. He has brown hair and normally it’s blond or red, so it’s very noticeable. It drives me insane. I always try to make him let me pull it out at the exact moment I see it, wherever that may be, but he’s learned his lesson. It grates on my nerves until it’s gone.

And I have weird eyebrows…each one is long and occasionally wavy, but they’re not very thick. Just trimmed them this a.m. What we do for beauty & love.
Everyone is talking about eyebrows when really, the most important thing you said was that your favorite show was “Golden Girls”. That was the best show on tv!! Isn’t it weird to see some of them now, though, like in an interview or something, and they look so incredibly OLD? You just can’t picture them any way but how they looked on the show.

Eyebrows are funny things…but still we take care of how they look. Personally I like threading mine. It only takes a minute, and they shape them beautifully.
