So, I was going to write about how I’m still feeling like crap even after stopping that medication that I thought was making me feel like crap. Now I’m blaming the antibiotic which I have to take. Which sucks. But I was watching American Idol from last night, and now I want to say something else instead:

Dear Lakisha Jones,

I haven’t been watching American Idol religiously in years, but my son has gotten me hooked on you and told me I had to watch your performance from last night. Your performance last night and you made me cry. I mean, I cried you were so good. So I’d like to now lay something on the table: I’d like to have your babies.

Thank You,
Zoot.

Unfortunatly she’s one of only 3 or 4 good ones this year. There are a couple that are really REALLY bad but the majority are average singers you would hear in a hotel lobby. I don’t know if I can make it through the whole season.

I literally couldn’t take my eyes off of her. I couldn’t! I was barely paying attention, and I heard her and OMG.

I agree with Meg, though - there were 4 maybe who were really good. The rest? Hoo boy. Not so much. The hot girl with the Pretenders song? Oh God.

I have never been an American Idol fan, but I am for some reason really into it this season and I think she is completely amazing! I was really blown away with her last night. So. Great. I liked Malinda Doolittle, too. Hope you feel better soon!

I agree wholeheartedly with Meg. I think Lakisha will be fine, even if by some miracle she DOESN’T win.

  7. Bev Says:

She was AMAZING! What a performer! Loved her (and her story). Also the fact that she’s so unassuming, whereas some of the “not so SPECIAL” performers stood up there looking stunned that the judges weren’t all gah gah over them!

I wonder why it is they have to put people on such strong antibiotics for kidney infections. When I had one, they put me in cipro. It didn’t leave me feeling miserable until I spent time outside in the sun on 4th of July, then all my skin turned red and got puffy. At least once it is over, it is over?

Damn it all to hell, I just went YouTube trolling looking for some footage of her, and now I’m crying too! Her audition tape was amazing.

i work at an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital.they had idol going on all of the TVs…a couple of the patients were crying but i don’ t think that it was because of Lakisha Jones.

Dude. I’m late to your pee issue but as a chronci (and I mean CHRONIC) suffered of same, here’s my rec.

Take the meds in the middle of a meal. Put some food on your stomach prior to taking the pills and then take some after. It’s the only way none of it makes me sicker.
