Of course, I also love the excuse to write a “To Do” list

Man. We have got a busy busy busy few months coming up and I’m not sure I’ll survive. My sister-in-law graduates from high school, my brother-in-law gets married. We have races to run and Mother’s Day to celebrate. There are vacations to plan and celebrations (HARRY POTTER!) to organize. We need to renovate our kitchen (and by “we” I mean “MrZ”) and I need to change the kitty litter. It’s crazy times in the Zoot house, that’s for sure.

Of course – the older I get the more I realize – I kinda need a little bit of stress to feel needed. Please don’t tell my husband I said that.

But it’s true! If there is lag time in my life, I suddenly start to worry I’m not necessary in anyone’s life. I feel much better knowing that I’m useful to somebody somewhere. I may stress out and worry – but deep down inside, I’m actually glad I have so much to do. I think I’d be more likely to abuse drugs or donuts if I had more free time. Being busy is good for me.

(Please remind me of this entry when I’m neck-deep in butterbeer recipes and wizarding costumes.)

Oooh, are you inviting all of us to said ‘Harry Potter celebration’? I could make Kyle change the kitty litter while we were there. :)

I am a friend of Crazy Mama and saw you on her blogroll. My son loves Harry Potter, and I would like to know what kind of party are you having? He would absolutely love to have something like that! We are waiting patiently, as well as an 8 yr old can, for the new book.

  3. Wait? There are recipes for butterbeer? Why didn’t I ever think of this?

I am all about the to-do list. Mine’s looking crazy lately, too. And now I’ll have to add some sort of HP celebration ~ hmm…

What recipe for butterbeer are you leaning toward? I’ve been looking at them and they all sound really sinfully delicious, but there are so many different versions. I can’t try them all! That would be my fat and sugar content for the year I think. Have you narrowed them down at all?

I just came across this website http://www.potterparties.com/
and I love it. I am sure you already know about it. We to are planning Potter Parties.

I to need stress to feel needed. I also perform better under stress.

I hope all goes well and you get everything finished.

These coming up months are very busy. I want to go to Bonnaroo- I saw on the map that Manchester isn’t so far from Huntsville- but that’s soooo far away from me. Nine HOURS! Man.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
