I worked this weekend on a graduation video for my sister-in-law as a type of graduation gift from her Mom (who must have scanned 300+ photos) and I. I did it in iMovie and it turned out pretty good for my first one. The only problem is, I didn’t realize how long my gaps between music were until the day she watched it. So, before I burn it to a DVD (which is giving me fits) I would love to fill in those gaps. Do any of you know of any good sappy music either about friendship or love or family or something? The more current the better, but I used “Isn’t She Lovely” and that is definitely not current. So - old but recognizable is good too. Thanks!

Wow. I’m so surprised at how many of you answered in the SAME WAY I would have. I was scared to tell you the truth when you all are just like me! (sort of). Here we go:
1. Do you clean your counters with a sponge or paper towel?I used my Method Non-Toxic spray (in case the little fingers get exposed to get and put in mouths) and paper towels. I don’t know if it’s because I hand-wash my dishes, but my sponge seems so nasty I’m scared to use it on my counter. Contradictory, I know, since I use it to clean the dishes. I mean - why is it too gross to clean my counter but not my DISHES which I EAT OFF OF? I’m weird.
2. Do you re-use towels after you shower or get a clean one every time? How long do you re-use them before getting a clean one out? I wash our towels every weekend. So, we reuse our towels all week. Which, SO DO MOST OF YOU! I was convinced all of you would say you washed yours daily and I’d feel gross. But seriously - my body is clean after I shower - why throw it in the hamper?
3. Do you do all of your grocery shopping for the week at once or do you make several medium-sized trips? I used to be able to do all of my shopping on Saturdays and not go again until the next Saturday. Since NikkiZ was born? I’ve given up because I always seem to forget something or we run out of something faster than I predicted. So, I do one MAJOR trip on the weekends and several quick stops throughout the week.
4. How often do you clean your bathtub? Rarely. And that’s all I’ll say for fear of alienating any future guests.
5. How often do you clean your coffee-maker? I clean the pot every few months and the maker itself once or twice a year. MAX.
6. If you bake something like biscuits on a cookie-sheet, but put aluminum foil under it, do you then wash the cookie sheet? NO! And I’m thrilled you all agreed that that’s the point of the foil. I heard someone say recently they use the foil to make the pan EASIER to clean, which floored me.
7. Do you clean your blinds? We’ve been in our house for almost three years now and I’ve never EVER cleaned them. I’m awesome.

Okay - so I have a few domestic questions for you so that I can see where my habits rank amongst the typical behavior. As in Am I Lazier than Normal?
- Do you clean your counters with a sponge or paper towel?
- Do you re-use towels after you shower or get a clean one every time? How long do you re-use them before getting a clean one out?
- Do you do all of your grocery shopping for the week at once or do you make several medium-sized trips?
- How often do you clean your bathtub?
- How often do you clean your coffee-maker?
- If you bake something like biscuits on a cookie-sheet, but put aluminum foil under it, do you then wash the cookie sheet?
- Do you clean your blinds?
There are hundreds more I’m curious about - but this will give me a good feel for your habits as compared to mine. No - I’m not giving you MY answers until I see YOURS. And then I will probably lie.

My Mom is heading home today, and I’m sad to see her go. We’ve had a great visit even though we didn’t let her relax at all with all of the stuff we did. She’ll probably need a few days to recover from the crazy weekend - I know I will!
We are up early this holiday because MrZ is running the Cotton Row Run 10K today. We were going to run it together, but my pregnancy has thwarted that. After seeing the notorious hills the race is famous for yesterday? I’m very glad I’m not running it. This 10K is a popular one that people travel for simply because of this one hill in the race (at the end of about 3 miles of steady uphill running). The hill is so bad, the race directory actually said that even the elite runners don’t worry about making a good time with that hill thrown in the middle. It is SO STEEP guys - it’s painful just to look at. They evidently play the theme to Rocky at the foot of the last painful hill (it elevates 100ft in 200+ yards) to keep the racers going. I have to walk up the speed bumps I encounter when I run - there’s no way I’d make it up that hill.
I’m hoping to finally upload all of the pictures I’ve taken the last 2 weeks some time today. They are piling up on me and I really need to get to them. I hope you have a great holiday - filled with good food and no hills.
