OH MY GOD. This is my greatest fear: amusement park mishaps. Poor girl.

Hi! I'm Kim and you're visiting my web site. I'm not sure how you got here but I hope you stay awhile. I like to talk about TV, fitness, cooking, and the occasional instance where I bust my ass in front of large groups of people. I like to think my klutziness is endearing.
Feel free to browse around, leave comments, or just run away screaming. It won't be the first time.

I heard about it too. It was the first story I heard on the news when I got up. Totally sad.
Me too. I’m sort of obsessed with any report of an amusement park accident. I just cannot understand why anyone would want to go to one, never mind let their precious loved ones go on some of those obviously dangerous rides. But then, I’m a total ride wimp. I passed out on the matterhorn at Disneyland when I was 17 and have never been on another ride like that since.
My heart goes out to that poor kid. I heard they closed that type of ride at all the Six Flags. Good, because we have one here that my kids love.
I also am obsessed with incidents at amusement parks! I once spent an ENTIRE NIGHT (like, til 5am) reading a site that lists every single incident reported ever.
Ummm….yeah….and I’m at Universal Studios right now. Reeaaallly not the time I wanted to see this splashed all over the news.
I saw your headline and couldn’t even click on the story last night – but when I had nightmares I figured that real information would make the formless anxiety better. It didn’t. My 15 yr old son’s class field trip was to that park a month ago. I know these are “freak” accidents and there are much more common and horrible things that happen all the time – but what kind of comfort is that?! That poor, poor girl!!
Oh, that’s so unbelievably sad. And a reminder of why I never go to these parks…
I have been avoiding reading this story. It is a scary thought. I know everyone takes risks when riding amusement park rides but you never want to think something so horrific could happen. My family is suppose to be going to six flags in Arlington next month. I am pretty sure I will be extra protective on what my girls ride.
BTW I don’t know why but it really urks me that they didn’t close the park down for the rest of the day instead of just the ride.
