The lovely Mocha Momma (who I met last year but I’m sure doesn’t remember) has a brilliant idea for those of us attending BlogHer to get to know each other QUICKLY. So, without further ado -
Me in 10 (or 30) Seconds
- Blogging consistently as Zoot since January 2004.
- Southern and proudly living in the very progressive city of Huntsville, AL. Hotbed of research and technology, making it a wee different from the rest of the state.
- I just turned 32. My supah-sexay hubby is only 29. We were married in October 2003.
- I have two kids (12 and 1.5) and would love more but I’m a spontaneous aborter which makes it challenging. I had my last miscarriage last month.
- I’m addicted to TV, Harry Potter (really?), Diet Cokes, and office supplies.
- I quit smoking several years ago and ran my first marathon this past April. Other than that I’m unhealthy and lazy.
- I haven’t used shampoo on my hair regularly since October 2003.
- I have 3 tattoos, 10 ear piercings, and 1 c-section scar.
I have no idea if that’s 10 seconds or not, I am actually fairly certain it’s closer to 30. But - it’s the best I could do. I talk a lot, you know. Limiting me is not easy. See, I have this thing called an Excellent Memory and I recall meeting you very clearly but I had just started reading you and didn’t comment so I didn’t gush all over you like I wanted because I was “playing it cool”. No more.
Now. Onto the good stuff…
A quiz, if you will.
The ZootMocha LoveFest will begin in Chicago by doing the following:
a) We are going to compare tattoos.
b) We are going to discuss the Harry Potter hype and our disgust over those who want to spoil it for us.
c) We are going to discuss ad naseum the curly hair issue and why we don’t use shampoo, only conditioner.
Remember, I’m in education and can give partial credit for answers.
I semi-recently sent an email regarding the no shampoo thing..is that a point of consternation for you? Just curious as I have asked previously as well without receiving a response. (Not that I think you should be dropping everything to respond to me, at all, Im really just curious about the method and whether or not you use styling products, have issues with marathon days, etc., as I am very curious about how it might work for me, being a fellow curly-haired redhead in a southern climate)

PS - Love the Harry Potter method. I stupidly chose to have my book shipped via the “Super Saver” method and it won’t be here until Tuesday. I was obviously not thinking.
