This is what happens when you join they lemmings after the jump off the cliff
Category: T.V. Junkie |

So, you know how I’m watching Gilmore Girls, right? (Mentioned here and here.) Like…after it has been canceled? Well. I’m finally on Season 4 (LilZ, stop reading now if you’re reading this because I don’t want this season ruined for you) and we just saw Dean get married. WHAT? Why did he get married? I mean…I watch Supernatural so I was fairly certain they didn’t stay together forever…but there’s a picture on Season 4’s box that shows them embracing! Lovingly! Does this mean Dean cheats on his wife with Rory? NO! Dean is too sweet to do that - - isn’t he? And do I care? Because I kinda want them together?

And I’m so torn about Jess. I know he comes back this season (he’s on the box too) but I also know he doesn’t end up with Rory because he has to go save the world from Sylar. But I really like him. But I also really like Dean. I mean, I love Dean and really wish he hadn’t gotten married. But maybe I’m glad he got married because now Rory and Jess can get together? Maybe? I don’t know who I love more. And this is evident by the fact that I dreamed the other night that I had to choose between them. I watch too much TV.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because I have to get it off my chest because the desire to Google what happens is so overpowering. I know that Rory ends up with some guy named Logan for awhile because I found articles about that when Veronica Mars had her Logan. But I don’t know what happens between Rory/Dean/Jess and I’m dying to know! Tell me not to look…tell me not to Google the answers!

And while you’re at it - tell me NOT to Google about Luke and Lorelai. Although - if they don’t ever end up together I may kill someone. They have to get together at some point, don’t they? Should I Google the answer so that I won’t get disappointed if they don’t end up together? No. I shouldn’t. I should just watch it and be surprised like the rest of the world. Right? No? Yes? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Besides get a life. That’s a given.

really - Rory and Dean? You like them together? bah. Dean’ s a nice guy, but Rory wants more than he can offer/is willing to offer.

IMO, Rory and Jess are a perfect fit. And that’s all I’m sayin.

  2. Ashley Says:

DON’T GOOGLE. You will be much happier if you watch it unfold without being spoiled.

  3. Katja Says:

Yeah, do not GOOGLE the answers! I get, that you want to find out, but it will be soo much more fun, if you do not know!

  4. Janssen Says:

Sorry, I’m so over Dean. I liked him alright in the first season, but man, he became such a Mr. Whiny Pants once Jess showed up. And frankly, I love Jess more.

Also, in season 4, Dean gets this horrible long hair thing going on. And I loathe it. So I’m all votes for Jess.

    DON’T GOOGLE!

Once I started watching Supernatural (after watching GG), I kept getting confused because Dean is no longer Dean, but Sam, but then there is Dean who is Sam’s brother! Ack! I just refer to them both as Dean.

I don’t love Dean in GG, but I picked up the show in the third season so I started out with him as the whiny, jealous Dean not the sweet, good boyfriend Dean. I had mixed feelings about Jess in the beginning, but after watching the whole series and all the re-runs many times, think he’s a good fit for Rory.

just watch it. you won’t be disappointed.

  7. Catherine Says:

DO NOT GOOGLE. You held out for HP7, you can do GG.

Dean, he’s a spineless whipping boy. And since you brought him up, I was most intrigued by Logan.

  8. kimblahg Says:

I looked it up just because you were talking about it. I kinda stopped watching when Rory went to Yale.

  9. Lauren E Says:

Whatever you do don’t look up the answers. I watched while it was still on and its well worth the wait. Just think that your waiting for new episodes if you look it up you will have nothing to look forward to. But great job on watching Gilmore Girls it the best show on TV in my opinion.

I’m in the DO NOT GOOGLE camp! It is so much fun to watch it all unfold despite the horror that season 7 is.

  11. nadine Says:

And yet, you’ll have to watch season seven because you’ve become so invested in all of their lives that you’ll need to know what happens.

  12. Mocha Says:

Hey, have we met? Because I’m the Original Lorelei and my daughter is the Original Rory and those people have been profiting off my life for several years (read: seasons) now.

Also, I own the entire collection and will now commence to watching some based on hearing you talk about them. Should I just pop in the next one you’re going to watch? ;-)

    Also? NO GOOGLING.

  13. Operation Pink herring Says:

Oh man… just reading your thoughts on season 4 is making me so excited for you to keep watching… there’s so much coming, grasshopper.

  14. Arwen Says:

I also started watching GG way late, sometime during season 6. (I actually haven’t seen season 7 yet since we don’t have a TV and I have to wait until it comes out on DVD, so I’m skipping all the previous comments in case someone accidentally put in a spoiler.)

Don’t Google! I did some Googling when I was watching the seasons through, and totally regretted it. You’ll enjoy it much more if you don’t know what happens.

I just started watching Veronica Mars - after it was cancelled - and every time I’m waiting for the next disc from Netflix, I am SO tempted to Google and find out what happens. But I learned my lesson from Gilmore Girls. :)

  15. txhorns Says:

Do not google, but bail out before the last season b/c YUK. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry…

  16. Michelle Says:

Oh I wish I could go back and have GG be new to me again. I heart it so much and am so sad it was canceled.

  17. Melizzard Says:

Here’s hoping you haven’t Googled … just keep putting your trust in Amy Sherman-Palladino, she is a genius and she will take these characters places you don’t see coming.

At least you have the ability to watch them all at the same time and not have to fret for a week to see what the hell goes on with the Rory/Jess/Dean love triangle. It was pure hell to have to wait a whole damn week for the next episode at times.

  18. Stephanie Says:

Welcome to my world… for the last, what is it 7 seasons, I have been torturing my husband with watching the Gilmore Girls (secretely I think he liked it)… and then when it was over… what was I to do with my Tuesday nights?? Without Lorelei’s banter and Rory’s wit?? Without Jess’s angst and Luke’s quiet sexiness???

Now… I am watching reruns on ABC Family… Gilmore Girls I can’t quit you :)

    DON”T GOGGLE IT

  19. Kristabella Says:

Yeah, don’t Google. You’ll be pissed.

An unlike someone above, I say tough it out until the very end. Seriously. The finale was pretty good. There were a few seasons towards the end, though, like the last 2 seasons, where you are going to want to pull your eyeballs out because they are bad. But stick with it!

Oh, and I was always a Jess girl. From day one. He understood her more. And Dean was always whiny.

  20. wwbd Says:

Don’t do it! Surprises are so much better.

I’m kind of meh about Dean and Jess.

  21. amanda Says:

Okay - I know this is an old post, but I had to comment. I am currently in GIlmore Girl Land. I started watching it the season Rory went to college. Then, this summer I discovered that ABC Family shows all the reruns every afternoon, so I have been watching what I missed and still re-watching what I did see. I still have the series finale on my tivo. I can’t let go of it. I am saving it for when I can let Gilmore Girls go.

Its really nice hearing you talk about Gilmore Girls after the fact that is is over. Its nice to know someone else is still in GIlmore Girl Land with me. :o)

  22. Miss Wisabus Says:

    DO NOT GOOGLE.

It’s *kinda* worth the wait. (says devoted fan from start to finish)
