#10: Copyright your Images – I’m not a “real” photographer but this seems like an easy “fix” for the issues people have been having with stolen images. I may be doing this soon.

It is actually incredibly easy to copyright stuff. You should totally do that.
And if I may be so bold as to suggest BEING a photographer? You take the most amazing photographs.

Echoing Elle, thanks for those links. The whole Nerve thing hits a little close to home. A few years ago I had taken a few pictures at a show, gave the artist’s website permission to use them — the webmaster properly credited me — and a few weeks later saw one of my photos sans credit on another website. (One that runs ads, by the way.) I’m not a professional, either, so I assumed I didn’t have the right to complain.
