Is it Monday? I took an early lunch break to put some dinner-in-a-bag concoction in the Crockpot for dinner. When I got home, it turns out it’s not as easy as cutting open a bag and dumping the contents in the pot. Nope, you have to pull some of the interior bags out and defrost them and then dump them in the pot and then other interior bags have to go in the fridge until 30 minutes before dinner. Why must cooking be so difficult?

Then, NikkiZ’s daycare called and I had to come get her because they were evacuating the facility due to some nasty leak of one kind or another. Or maybe there was a fire. Or aliens. I don’t know. Wait. Ebola. Yeah. There was an ebola outbreak. Maybe. Either way - they demanded I come get her or suffer the probing or quarantining of my child. Depending on whether it was aliens or ebola. I’m sure they’ll mention it in the newsletter.

Luckily I work close to MrZ’s Mom, so she took her to the office for a bit to show her off while I update cyberspace on the tragedy that has become my Tuesday. What’s next - global annihilation?

Yes. I’m aware that I’m being over dramatic. But it seems someone ate the last Little Debbie snack while I was sleeping last night so I don’t get one today for lunch and that - my friends - is the real tragedy.

I wanted a Nutty Bar in the worst way the other night. Even though that sounds dirty, it’s not. :D

WAIT!!! Ebola? Aliens? Toxic waste? Fire? NO LITTLE DEBBIE CAKE????

    The madness must end.

    OMG…little debbie crisis…i prefer mine frozen…or cold..how about you?

What? They make you work for the crockpot dinner? That’s crap. Of course the only thing I make in a crockpot is roast. And by “make” I mean I have my husband dump the frozen roast into the pot with 3 cans of cream of mushroom soup and let it cook all night and day. It is actually quite good and quite possibly the easiest meal on earth to make. Just add mashed potatoes and corn and viola you have a meal.

As for the little Debbie snack….Have you not learned to hide the good food? I either buy junk food my husband doesn’t like or hide it if I want it. I know, I’m evil…

Okay, if I’m cutting open bags and defrosting things, and then combining them with other things, and keeping an eye on the clock? That is not easy. That is not quick. Those dinner-in-a-bag people LIE.

Wait..no Little Debbie’s? You so need to come on over to my house..because. …Lord Have Mercy…you cannot run out of those! Let me know if you want EASY..non-defrosting type crock pot recipes. I rock at those.

Back when I was pregnant with my first child SOMEONE ate my burrito from my favorite mexican restaurant. I may have permanently scarred that someone from ever eating anything considered a “leftover” for the rest of his life.

I would totally force the someone who ate the last Lil’ Debbie TO GO BUY SOME MORE RIGHT NOW, OR I WILL KILL YOU DEAD. I MEAN IT.

Sometimes I am a teeny-tiny bit unreasonable whilst with child!

I hate that. I mean I am a mom before I am anything else in this world. My kids come first but… Daymn! Do these schools not realize that we have to work for a living too?! If they’re constantly calling for one reason or another… how on earth do they expect us to hold down a job…. geesh!

I hope you put the Little Debbie eating culprit in time-out. That should not go unpunished.

I’m convinced my crockpot HATES me. Whenever I try to “fix it and forget,” the food is barely edible.

I just bought that same type of dinner for the crock pot. When I went to make it, I was all “I don’t have TIME for all this!” I wish I would have seen that BEFORE I cut open the bag…not that I didn’t close it back up and order take-out, or anything.

I would say interrogate the hubby over the little debbie incident. As for the crockpot meal it is supposed to be an easy way to cook but sounds like too much work for me.
