OMG. I am so awesome. (Wait, have I used that title already today?)

I’m back from Super Suppers and first and foremost: Go There Now. It is so much fun! I brought LilZ with me and he and I had a ball making the meals. And the meals are HUGE. We actually did each meal in two sections because one container would be too much for our family. So, their idea of “Six Meals” is actually twelve for my family. And for $135 dollars? That’s just barely over $10 a meal. And it’s GOOD food. And did I mention how much fun it was? TONS.

Danielle made the mistake of riding with me from the hotel to the event and got to learn first-hand how passive of a driver I am. But – I did make two left-hand turns in her presence, so I’m kinda proud.

I met a bunch of new bloggers tonight and met-for-the-first-time several bloggers I already “knew” online. I’ve known Amber since 2004, back in my early days of blogging, and tonight was the first time I ever laid eyes on her. Totally Awesome.

I’ll tell you all more about it after I go through pictures and get a proper list of URLs to use when identifying the guilty parties. But overall? Completely awesome.

I am going to cry. It was tonight. I am so sad to have missed it. I don’t know how I got the dates wrong. I was looking forward to finally meeting you. I am very upset right now.

  3. Go Zoot, go Zoot, it’s your birthday, it’s your birthday… :)

I don’t know her, but I’m giving Jenny H. a hug because being disappointed sucks a**. (((((Jenny H.)))))

Um, don’t they have one of those in Huntsville? Might save you a big drive next time! I know they at least USED to have one in town. I think I saw one near the Target shopping area .

  7. Heather says:

Sounds like a great idea! Glad it worked for ya.

I hate making left hand turns, too. Actually, I tend to have routes all laid out to places I go regularly just so I don’t have to turn left.

And I’ve Smile Awarded you –

I’m so glad you had a good time. Hopefully, the next time y’all do this, I can go too. I’ve never heard of Super Suppers but now I’m going to go have a look. I wonder if they have any closer to theh southern part of the state. Great job on the left hand turns though!

That sounds like so much fun!! I think my sister went and did something similar right before my niece was born…and she doesn’t even cook!!! It seems silly for a single gal to go and do it however…what would I do with all that food??

What the heck is a super supper?? And congrats on the driving!

I had a blast. :) You need to come to Atlanta more often.

The Super Suppers sounds like a fantastic idea! I only wish there was one in my area. :( I hope you give photo examples of the meals. I would love to see the kind of meals they offer and maybe get some ideas. If I could come up with 12 meal ideas @ $135 total, would sooooo help out on my grocery bill for my family of 4.

  16. mdv says:

It sounds wonderful. I wish I had a super suppers near me.

  17. MamaKaren says:

I’ve never tried Super Suppers, but I do Let’s Dish and it is awesome. Even though we are a family of five, I sometimes split the meal if I’m not sure if the kids will take to it because the portions are very generous. And they have refreshments! I can take a break from assembling meals to enjoy some coffee and a scone!

  18. TammyK says:

It sounds like so much fun. I wish I could have gone and met you all too :( Damn why do I have to live in Illinois?! It’s obvious that all the fun is happening in the South. I wonder if my husband will move on the basis that I want to be closer to all of my blogging friends?? lol

  19. Kim says:

Waaaaaah! I would have loved to join you. Drat Ohio and Georgia being so far apart!

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
