First and Foremost: Dear JennyH. I hate you missed the event last night and I’m so sorry you had the dates wrong. I really hope that was not my fault. If it was, would you forgive me if I sent you a donut?
Secondly: OMG. I am so tired. So terribly tired. Neither LilZ or I slept well last night, for various boring reasons. And then, we had to get up and get on the road very early. Very early. I was leaving town at 3:30am. Did you even know there was a 3:30am? I vaguely remember it from the college days of all-nighters, and then I hung out with 3:30am several times with NikkiZ, but it’s been over a year since I looked at the clock at that time. And it hurt me very much.
I ended up pulling off into a rest-stop outside of Chattanooga to nap a little while. I felt like I was going to doze off on the road so I decided to take my chances sleeping with the truckers. I got another 45 minutes of sleep and then hit the road again.
Now I’m trying to function in the “real” world and pretend like I had a full night’s sleep. I don’t look the part though, with the dark circles under my eyes and the flushed skin. As a matter of fact, I look more like a junkie. It’s a hott look on me. Trust me.
MrZ woke NikkiZ up this morning and she had puked again at some point in the night. He kept her home from school and she’s still acting fine: no fever, no more puking. It’s like she’s just periodically inspired to get rid of the contents of her stomach. I hope we’re not re-visiting the strong gag reflex phase. I was very happy to see that one go.
So - I’m working, but barely. MrZ is on puke patrol. And LilZ is a zombie trapped in a teenagers body. We’re quite a mess today. Wanna come hang out?
I love ya, but I’ll pass on hanging out today…no, really, it sounds like you and the family are loads of fun today, but I…ummm…have to wash my hair…LOL!!!
Just kidding with ya, sorry the family is out of sorts today. I hope NikkiZ is feeling better, that’s no fun for any party involved.

I promise to try really hard and just let it go. Because in less I have invented a time machine there is nothing I can do. And I haven’t.

After reading this, I need to go take a nap. I hope you all can get some much needed sleep tonight. Poor NikkiZ…I wonder if she just has some kind of wierd stomache bug that kind of comes and goes. I hope she gets better soon. Glad you made it home safe and sound.
Is she by any chance getting her “stomache & eye” teeth? My daughter had problems with the puking when she was cutting teeth at about NikkiZ’s age. Just a thought.

Will you think I’m strange if I told you that I’m an insomniac and usualy at my desk by 3:30 a.m.? Yes! Okay, so I won’t tell you.
