I have already made myself sick eating so much candy and we haven’t even put on our costumes yet.

That is all.

I know just how you feel. (as I type and chew a reese cup at the same time)

I have kept it away so far. I know it will be the days that follow that do me in. Too much candy, too little of a boy.

  3. Egads, me too. I’ve really over done it this year. Plus there’s a party room at work today and it’s just a gorge-fest of candy, chips, brownies, cupcakes–you name it, it’s there. Barf!

  4. I feel your pain. They had cupcakes made up like spiders in the breakroom this morning and I smell brownies now. I’ve been snacking on the Halloween candy for the trick or treaters for a week. I may have to take my 9 month old around the block this evening to gather more….We’ll see how much I have left over tonight.

I tried to get candy that I didn’t really like that much, then I realized that I LOVE all candy….I think I may have to go buy more on the way home…..

I hid ours in the closet. Once Julie figures out that we have candy at home she wont rest until its all gone, or I’ve pulled out all my hair.

wait jsut a damn second…kit-kats and Reese’s cups AREN”T an acceptable breakfast and lunch on Halloween? Never.

  8. Kimberly says:

Oh, Halloween, how I love it and yet how I hate how it makes me feel when I’m up til midnight sneaking butterfingers and snickers bars. I rationalize it with the fact that my kids don’t eat those ones. :)

    You are definitely not alone.

  10. mdv says:

“Oh Halloween! Why can’t I quit you?”

  11. What are you going as? I made all the kids costumes Jacksons a big fat chicken!

  12. Amy says:

I am so with you! I am gorging myself even while thinking that all this chocolate cannot be good for my nursing baby girl. But it is so yummy! And at seven weeks post-partum, I think I can still claim “baby weight” even if I know it’s not!

  13. Kim says:

Hahaha! I can’t wait to get home and get some candy for myself! :-)

  14. Isabel says:

It’s still early here on the west coast. So I haven’t had any Halloween candy…YET!

  15. TammyK says:

LOL!!! I can’t wait to hear all about the costumes and your night!

  16. Jessie says:

I was doing so good – I hadn’t even purchased any candy because we don’t get any trick or treaters around here. Then my husband picked up a bag of fun-sized Snickers at the grocery store and I ate two as soon as he got home. This could be a bad idea.

  17. I’ve only had ONE piece of candy. ONE. I’m broken! I’m a compulsive overeater — shouldn’t I be in the hospital getting my stomach pumped right now or something?

Okay, that was really gross. I’m broken — in the HEAD. *rolling eyes at self*

BTW? Your seventh-grade picture? Could you BE any more adorable? :)

  18. I did not partake in any halloween treats last night! I will be having a cupcake today though!

  19. Rachel says:

OHH, I love Halloween!! My mom is in Mexico for Dia De Los Muertos, I’m so jealous.

  20. Moogie says:

OMG! Your cat is FAMOUS! I need to start following you around. Maybe some of your fame will rub off on me :) Great job!!!

Ok…so I really need to get off some of the meds I’m taking This comment is meant for the post below. This is another reason why I should NEVER be let near a computer.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
