NikkiZ was sitting at dinner last night, putting the corn and peas in her hand and saying, “I’m going to take this with me.” Over. and Over. and Over again. I thought, “Oh! This is funny! I’ll video tape it!” Of course, the second I got the camera out she stopped. OF COURSE. But, it turned into quite a good glimpse into life around our dinner table. There are lulls, but be patient, NikkiZ won’t let you down.
That makes me think you’ve been playing some Tom Waits for her. Do you know that beautiful song, “Take It With Me?” It is my favorite

Seriously, y’all are adorable. Most of our dinners consist of “stop touching me”, “stop looking at me”, “quit it”, “shut up” etc., then me breaking it up. It’s so nice to see kids actually liking each other’s company.
You have the most adorable Southern accents! I’ve always had a fondness for that accent-I know it’s supposedly out of vogue and people make fun of it these days…but it sounds so mellifluous and relaxed.
zoot, your family is a laugh! It’s interesting how different I hear the blog when read and when you invite us into your house with these homey videos. Love, love!
