Short and Sweet

I was tagged for another meme today. The rules are as follows:

1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random or weird things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

As usual – I skip steps 3 and 4. I don’t like to do the tagging. I don’t mind being tagged, but you probably won’t ever see me tag anyone. Also – I’m going to keep it kinda short since my brain is fried.

7 Weird Things About Myself

  1. I speak for my animals to company. Like, “Oh! Thanks for scratching my back! That’s my favorite spot!” I just know them well enough to anticipate their thoughts. I might as well share.
  2. I can’t stand candles or scents that smell like something edible. They make me hungry.
  3. My handwriting is different every time I pick up a pen.
  4. I’ll paint my toenails, but never my fingernails.
  5. I have two bracelets I wear all of the time, I don’t even take them off when I shower.
  6. When I was little I used to wish my name was Veronica and that my friends called me, “Ronnie.”
  7. I only like a little bit of icing on my cake. There can actually be too much icing in my opinion.

HAHAHA I talk for my dogs too.

I like a little bit of cake with my icing.

  2. mdv says:

Also, when I was little, I wanted my name to be Father Maria when I grew. For a time, I wanted to be the first woman priest.

  3. canape says:

    “Too much icing”?

I don’t understand. Could you explain these words further please, Ronnie?

  4. Jummy says:

You were a reader of the Archie comics, weren’t you?

  5. Amy says:

No! There is no such thing as too much icing!!!

  6. Stacey says:

I talk for my cat all the time. Actually I try to interpret her meows….she never stops.

  7. cagey says:

    Me!Too!

Hate candles/scents that smell like food. Bleh.

Rarely paint my fingernails, but usually will my toenails.

I wear my bangles all the time. I only took them off when I went into the hospital.

I wanted my name to be Rebecca so that my friends could call me Becky.

  8. ben says:

    Y’all –

    Send your icing over here.

    Freaks.

  9. ferd says:

I knew a Veronica. She called herself “Vicky.”

  10. Tracy says:

my husband has an actual voice for our dog. sounds kind of like ralph wiggum from the simpsons

  11. Kathy says:

Candles that smell like something edible, especially super-sweet scent like vanilla, make me nauseated. The lights in the hall of my apartment building trigger these sickly-sweet vanilla air fresheners, and it’s awful.

The spice ones do make me hungry for pumpkin pie, though.

  12. courtney says:

i’m with you on the nail polish thing. doesn’t belong on the hands, as far as i’m concerned. but my toes? preeeeetty.

  13. Heidi says:

Love #1 & #3. I completely speak to my animals and I meow at dogs. Whoops! I forget there are other things besides cats. My handwriting is so different, makes me wonder how many personalities I really have.

Thought I would tag you – not realizing you were already tagged!

Love to hear – Things that make you supicious

  14. Kristabella says:

My handwriting is always different too! Same with my signature. It’s always illegible, but never the same.

  15. Heather says:

    1. This doesn’t surprise me at all, but I think it’s adorable.
    3. Mine too! It’s totally indicative of my mood, too.
    5. Same with my necklace :) It broke a few months ago and while it was getting fixed it felt SOO weird to be without it!
    7. There’s such a thing as bad icing too. Usually the storebought kind qualifies. Icing should be smooth and not grainy.

  16. Becky says:

1, 4, and 7 ring true for me, too. Guess this makes me a freak. A SUPERfreak!

  17. Jenny H. says:

HAH! I just finished mine. I love meme’s so.

And I doubt there is such a thing as too much icing.

  18. Elyse says:

I felt somewhat humored and honored that you did this meme. :-) Thanks, even if you were just looking for blog material. I feel somewhat famous! ;-)

  19. leslie says:

:) NaBloPoMo – bringing out the meme in everyone, even me. I totally stole your guilty pleasures meme the other day. lol

  20. Vee says:

My name is Veronica but not many people have ever called me Ronnie. People call me Vee (husband has my entire family calling me that now) but my family used to call me Von or Vonnie (some still do). My friends always used my entire name. Do you realize my name has 4 syllables? It takes forever to say!

  21. Dirka says:

I’m with you on the edible smelling scents. I can’t stand candles that smell like chocolate.

  22. janjanmom says:

AMEN!!!!!! to number 4 and 7.

  23. TammyK says:

Nothing weird here at all, lolol I talk to my animals too… and I talk for them as well, lolol

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
