Trying To Clean Up My Mess

Well, I copied and pasted the entries from the feed reader AND copy/pasted the comments from my emails. So, all is saved! Except for the one entry that wasn’t live long enough to make it to the feed reader. But, just trust me, it was not that exciting. It was me babbling about burning toast, or something. It is better off lost.

This whole thing happened because I was trying to clean up an entry thinking it had offended someone. Turned out? It wasn’t me. So, my oversensitivity caused my entries to disappear! Wouldn’t be the first time my quick-reflex to assume I am the one upsetting someone got me in trouble. Why is that always my first assumption? Do you do that? Are you quick to assume if someone’s upset it must be your fault? Because I am! Ask my husband – he’ll tell you. Anyway – maybe I should learn my lesson. Just because someone leaves a comment on an entry, doesn’t actually mean it’s directed at you. Chances are, it may be directed at the person ABOVE them in the comment line. Duh. I’m such an idiot sometimes.

So – for future reference – if you are talking to someone in my comments, you might want to address them directly or else I may freak out and think I’ve upset people and delete an entire day’s worth of entries by accident!

As An Aside: How cute is it to hear your toddler watching TV in the other room suddenly scream, “BACKPACK! BACKPACK! BACKPACK!” or “MAP! MAP! MAP!” at the top of her lungs? So aDORAble.

    You’re so smart, Miss Zoot.

Glad you were able to fix it. I can’t remember what I wrote this morning. :-)

  3. Marilyn says:

Yes, I definitely wonder if someone is mad at me ALL THE TIME (such as when I don’t hear from someone when I’ve sent them an email several days before…hem, hem ;) ).

BTW, love the new look! You’re making me wanna switch (again!). :)

I just emailed you Marilyn!!! hehe.

  5. Brenda says:

just wait until she learns all the Dora songs and sings them for days on end….just wait.
My daughter talks and sings alllll of the time. I can’t see to find the shut off button. My husband seems to think it’s my fault because I couldn’t wait for her to learn to talk when she was little :-p

Zoe responds to Dora and Diego throughout the whole show… as long as I”m out of the room. She’s also learning Spanish from them. It ends up I’m going to have to start listening more closely because I hear her say things and realize they are “Diego” words… but I have no idea what they mean!!!

  7. Michelle says:

Of course I wonder if it is me…I was actually trying to remember if I made a comment this morning that might have sparked your paranoia…then I remembered that I didn’t comment here this morning. Phew. LOL

Yes, i do that too. And i love your new lay-out. Your best yet, i think!

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
