This weekend was definitely missing a day…or at least several hours. There is no way it’s Monday morning already. No way. I didn’t get the bathrooms cleaned and I didn’t get my grocery shopping done for the week. I feel like someone stole a chunk of time from my weekend and I WANT IT BACK. Please?
NikkiZ and I did go to the park while my husband and his brother did their weekend workout. I didn’t realize how long their running/training would take so we ended up taking a journey down to the creek to play in the water. It was that warm on Saturday. Jealous? We had a lot of fun digging around the mud and algae. I did not have fun carrying her on my shoulders back to the park as I ended up having my boobs caked in the mud from her shoes. It made the rest of the Moms at the park give me an assortment of odd looks. Mainly because the mud looked like poop. And no one wants to talk to a woman with poop on her boobs. Just trust me on that one.
We also had to run out to get a changing pad cover for our changing table. This is the first time NikkiZ has been immersed in the baby department since she has started understand that we’re getting a new baby in May. She kept pointing to everything in the store and saying, “Oh! Oh! Oh! Get that for Baby Andy, Mom! It’s for BABIES! TINY BABIES!” She is starting to get very impatient with the, “Andy won’t be here until May” line I keep giving her. She would like May to be RIGHT NOW. And let me tell you - my body couldn’t agree more with her.

It was a gorgeous weekend wasn’t it? I got a good excuse in playing outside myself as I was babysitting. Lots of bike riding and swinging!!
(fyi sent you an email but I could still be spammed)
So, Zoot, when are you going to post some pregnancy photos? You know we all want to see the baby bump!
i can’t wait to see what she thinks when andyz shows up.
p.s. yes, please show us some bumpage!
p.s. no more pregnant and unemployed blog? i know you hadn’t posted for a while, but now it’s gone altogether?
I couldn’t agree more about the weekend being stolen from me. If you find the culprit who stole the weekend from you, can you beat them up for me too and tell them I would like mine back as well? Thanks!
I couldn’t agree any more if I tried. What a short weekend!
The “It’s for babies! TINY BABIES!” is cracking me up. I thnk she’s going to be a very hands-on big sister.
Sweet! Tiny Babies! And for the record, I probably would have talked to you with the mud on your boobs. In fact, I probably would have offered you a napkin or wipe to get some of it off.
I am impressed that you were carrying NikkiZ on your shoulders….it is all i can do to pick Scout up and get her in the car.
I’m with you. I swear to god last night was Friday night, right? And I was watching Smash and Lyla and JASON STREET on the TV. And now I’m almost already late for work but I’m not even getting ready because I had to comment. I’m awesome like that.
I feel like some time was stolen from my weekend as well! Especially because I have a stats midterm tomorrow. *shudder*
Also…buuuump!
It’s not the weekend anymore? Dang it.
Hey, your girl and boy will be about the same distance apart in age as my girl and boy! (Did I say that right?) You’ll love it — it’s a good span. And when she tries carrying him around? It will crack you up.
I didn’t lose time, but it was entirely too short.
I think it is sweet that she is looking forward to her new brother.
I don’t remember are you due in early May? I hope so, cause otherwise she’s going to drive you NUTS all month w/”get that baby out now!!!” Trust me on this one. We told our oldest June when the baby was due in May, so she wouldn’t drive me nuts. Course the baby showed up in late April for good measure.
I don’t normally click over to comment (since I am working - you know) but I loved your post regarding the 2nd Fork (courtesy of Bloglines), and I just wanted to say that it was SO CUTE. Thanks.
I can not imagine the kinds of search hits this post is going to get you!
Does sound like a wonderful day, though
