NikkiZ is sitting, right now, at her Dora table next to my desk and coloring. Do you realize how many times I’ve tried to get her to do that the last few months? NINETEEN MILLION TIMES. And then today, one week before I start back to work, and she suddenly says, “Hmmm. This seems like a good idea.” Yes. Yes it is. Much better than sticking stickers all over your Mom’s back while she tries to check her email.
She has even brought some toys in so when she gets done coloring, she can move the crayons and play with her toys. On the table. As opposed to on the back of my chair while I work. Do you know how amazing it is to finally be able to write a blog entry without her at my back? I’m not even sure how to sit in this chair the right way, I’m so used to sitting in it hanging off of the front.
Toddlers are evil. Amen.

Gah! How I understand this! I’m power studying for a history test and my boy is all like ‘Mommy can you color spider man with me? Mommy can you play batman with me? Mommy where’s my transfornger (transformer, it’s totally precious isn’t it?)’
I have totally been with you on this whole spending time with the kid while getting things done rollercoaster. I have come -this- close to figuring out if I could sell a kidney for day care just so I could write some essays without having to type and research around the toddler.
but they’re evil in the most delicious way!
hahahahaha. I love it. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come as she gets older.
it is the cute that saves them….
Yay! I hope this continues to work out favorably!
For your sake, of course.
and how is she going to be when she isn’t the baby anymore?
LOL - just wait until you have a preschooler on your back while batting away the grubby little infant hands off of the laptop… Fun! Fun!

Haha! Go figure, hey?
Amen……but oh, so kissable too……loved the toddler years. Of course, I can say that now that I have moved into the teenager years, now we’re talking evil.
I didn’t know you were going back to work. But saying that, I haven’t been around here much recently.
Like you said, at least she’s finally doing it.
I cracked up about this, because my child does NOTHING but put stickers on my back or cry to get in my lap the entire time I’m even NEAR the computer. I’m glad you finally got a good system down….I think I need to try that too!
Wait, you’re going back to work? How did I miss this? WHAT’S GOING ON!?!? Can not find ‘Working Mama’ site… am lost… confused… scared…
Hold me?
Gah.
and again I say, AMEN!
but they are awfully cute when they are evil!
