I LOVED Judy Blume and especially Beverly Cleary. It's been fun rereading the Beverly cleary books with my older son, although now we read Harry all the time, which I also love! I thought I was weird for still liking teen fiction...now I know I'm not alone!

Oh wow! I love this 1st ever giveaway of yours, and I love all the other people's comments cos we mostly adore the same author when we were teens - Judy Blume!!! (I'm guessing we're all about the same age now?) :P
As for the authors I read nowadays, I don't stick to one. But I tend to read the Fantasy/Fairytale genre more, and I saw one commentator saying she enjoyed The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale - I agree!!! That was the last book I read and it was really enjoyable!!!

Thanks!

Another Anne McCaffrey fan here, but I'll mention another title/author that I don't think's been posted - I haven't thought about these in years, but one of my many favs would be "The Borrowers" series by Mary Norton. Wonderfully imaginative and just slightly possible, even though you know it's not real. (Sort of like the Harry Potter books.) She also wrote the book that became "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".

I loved V.C. Andrews, and Harry Potter of course (though I was only a teenager for the first 6 books). A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is one of my favorite books as well.

A long time lurker chiming in with my love of teen fiction! I recognize a lot of the books mentioned here, but one author I am currently loving is Garth Nix. I adore the Old Kingdom Trilogy and have just started The Keys to the Kingdom and it is quite enjoyable so far.

I'll have to read The 13th Reality, it looks to be right up my alley!

I loved Stephen King when I was a teenager, and also C. S. Lewis. Probably why I love James Dashner books now - he's got a true gift. I'm in my early 40's and enjoy reading them with my 8-year-old son who loves 'em too.

I posted earlier but I just thought of another author I loved. Edith Nesbit. Her stories are more for younger than teens, but so imaginative and cute. Five Children and It, The Wouldbegoods, and The Railway Children - all good picks, and they're old, which means they are public domain and can be read online or downloaded for free at Project Gutenberg or Manybooks - just in case you want to check them out.
