I thought I should maybe write an entry on this new fancy interface the WP upgrade gave me. I’m a little intimidated because it’s very shiny and I kinda like my blogging interfaces dull and boring. But so far, so good. However, I do not typically upload images using the WP interface and that’s where I hear problems can occur. Or at least that’s when I’ve seen/heard the most amount of profanity from my fellow bloggers.
I’ll take this chance to say that I’m thrilled so many of you get tongue-tied when your doctor is the one that calls you. I told MrZ that I was starstruck when Dr. SoNice called and he didn’t get it. And essentially wrote it off as one of the many things that he choose to ignore about me in order to keep from committing me to a home. Like my aversion to left turns and Splenda.
If you notice anything wonky around this joint, can you email me (misszoot@gmail.com) and let me know? And maybe include the way to fix it in the email? Because I’m flying blind over here.

Everything looks good to me. I’m interested to hear what you think of the upgrade. I am still procrastinating it, though I’m thinking about upgrading this weekend.
Looks fine from my perspective. See? it isn’t so bad.
And the upload thing works fine after a small (and admittedly easy) fix though I far prefer to use my flickr plugin and insert pictures using that.
I waited on upgrading until that plugin was updated simply because I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT.
It looks good to me, now let me hit submit comment and see if it bursts into flames! LOL!
It looks great on my end
I uploaded photos via the WP interface for the first time the other day (because if I blog via flickr, the layout is the same and I only get to post one photo per blog post, unless I really do some work and figure out how to do more than one!). The only thing that really gave me trouble with it was that the blog entry itself has no padding when the photo is aligned to the left or right. I changed my img properties in my style.css file, but then all my images, including my smilies, had padding around them. I have img.left and img.right properties in my style sheet, but apparently they do nothing in conjunction with this new WP interface. Unless I just haven’t figured out the way to properly set the margins or something.
Hmmm… my husband has an aversion to left turns too! Eh, only because he was a truck driver and he swore that if he planned his route with only right turns it got done faster. I think I believe him. Hey… you weren’t a truck driver in a former life, were you?

I just moved over to WordPress as of a few weeks ago and I LOVE IT! What widget/plugin are you using for your Flickr pictures in the sidebar? I like how they look and want something similar on my sidebar. Everything is looking great on your site as far as I can tell.
But that does explain why my picture formatting isn’t behaving in WP 2.5 – at least I know I’m not going crazy!
Thanks!
It looks good to me!
I was waiting to hear some more feedback about 2.5, so now that you’ve bitten the bullet, I will have to as well!
Crap, I must be using a REALLY old version because it doesn’t even tell me that upgrading is an option…I’ve had the same thing for 2 years and have never upgraded. Shhhh…don’t tell my hubby. He will insist I need the new toys and I don’t like change.
Looking good.
Also, to cut down on the amount of spam you get, you might consider putting a space before and after @ in your email address.
