The Last Friday Before…

I know you’re totally getting sick of me saying, “This is the last time I {insert random event here} before AndyZ gets here!” But…Today is the last Friday before AndyZ gets here! Next Friday I’ll be struggling to walk around a hospital room while recovering from Morphine withdrawal. Yay!

I got to hold Penelope again yesterday. For the few seconds she was in my arms yesterday I could smell what I’ll have in a mere six days. And I got excited. Sometimes with the ins and outs of the daily routine of chasing a toddler and working and running a house – I forget to get excited. I mean – how lucky am I? I’m about to bring my third child into this world. I often talk about how I feel like life has given waaaay more than I deserve considering the black marks from my past – but today? I’m just excited. Another baby. In my arms. IN SIX DAYS.

On a more serious note: I went last night to get some snacks for our campout tonight. I ate them all before I went to bed. Except for one pack of poptarts, which I ate this morning. I am quite proud of myself.

Oh wow I am so excited for you, really I am.

Phooey to black marks in the past, we all deserve to love and grow. You deserve everything you have Ms Zoot because you’ve been brave enough to get out there and create it. I don’t know you in real life, but on this blog you shine out as a kind person.

Enjoy your last Friday before you become a mom of 3 :)

Have fun at the botanical gardens. I’ve been reading your site for quite a few years now and enjoying your pictures and just wanted to thank you for sharing. :) I can’t have children, and am waiting to start the adoption process, so reading about women going through pregnancy and seeing newborns is really comforting. Oh and I love that your site always has a positive vibe!

you are the model of restraint with those poptarts. at 9+ months pregnant, just knowing there was one more pack would’ve kept me awake all night.

Have fun on the camping out stuff! I can’t wait to hear all about it/see the pictures (of the camp out, and of the new little man).

  12. I think AndyZ is coming on May 22 according to your calculations. If that is the case I get to share a birthday with him.. Welcome fellow Gemini! I can’t wait to see pictures of you!

So I guess another trip to Super Target has been squeezed into your day.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
