Stopping in to brag about my AWESOMENESS
Category: Baby Steps, Operation Weightloss | 17 Comments »

Guess what I just did? I just walked my 2+ mile route with BOTH kids (one in a stroller and one on my chest) for the SECOND TIME THIS WEEK. I didn’t want to brag about the first time because I feared that may have just been a fluke and that I’d never get the courage to do it again. BUT I DID. Baby steps to my September 5K…just taking baby steps.

  4. Heather Says:

I think that it should count as extra because you had the kids with you!

  5. Heather Says:

That is SO awesome! I am VERY proud of you, and it really should count as extra work because of the extra weight of carrying kids!

congrats!! you are on your way!!

  7. Elaine Says:

Yay! That’s great news! I know by September you will be more than ready to run the 5k. Keep it up, and you have a ready cheering section for you!

Just wanted to say go you! I have NO kids and I don’t remember the last time I walked two miles. (Sad, I know.) You should be VERY proud of yourself!

That is great! I feel like bragging on myself if I walk a half mile, or if I do my 30 minute workout, or mow part of the lawn. I’d be downright obnoxious if I actually did something really strenuous or hard.

Will you be running this year or walking?

Go, Zoot! Good for you! 2 miles with 2 kids = 5K without! You can do it, keep up the good work!

Yay Zoot! Good stuff! I just started a running program (I used to love running but haven’t done any in about 20 years) Now I’ve got to say that your 2 miles walking already has me beat as I don’t have to carry 2 kids! This is one of those gradual programs that builds your time/distance up over 9 weeks. I’m working towards a 5K run at the beginning of Oct. Anyway I know (from reading your blog) that you know how to train but if you want to check this one out let me know and I’ll send it your way! …*

That’s WONDERFUL!!! You are doing great. I agree, one baby step at a time. It’s a lesson that I try to teach myself every day. Unfortunately, I’m not all that good at it so I tend to burn out. You are going to be soooooo ready in September.
