Storytime — as told by NikkiZ
Category: NikkiZ |

This is the story my daughter just told me over breakfast:

Once upon a time, there was a little boy. His name was Brother. He was sitting in a trip and he would SLAP his hand on the branches. And sometimes shoot bad guys. And hangout with the birds. Can I ride in the rocket car at Publix?

I think the last sentence was supposed to be “The End” but she got distracted. I just thought I’d share the inner workings of my toddlers brain. It seems like a fun place to be.

Be careful, her teachers may try to tell you she has ADD. Because all kids do now, you know.

Heeee! Great story. You should print it out (oh yeah, like you have TIME to do that Moogie) and keep it in a scrapbook. It would be kind of cool to see how she progresses.

Of course, that’s why you have a blog….

    I love a toddler’s stream of consciousness.

They have the most awesome little brain going on up there and the best stories EVER come from them. My 3 year old likes to sing and you always here “Mommy”, “Daddy” or “Geega(her brother)” inserted here and there. Like her ABC’s for instance: “…W,X,Y & Z…now my Mommy ABC…wont you (uninterpretable) with me!” I LOVE that version :)

I love their minds. My 2 year old has been talking in hushed tones about the big bad wolf. I’ve been telling her he just lives in storybooks. Yesterday at naptime he told me, “He just gone climbin’ out’da book and scaring me wif his ears.”

It’s funny when little ones start forming sentences. My friends little girl hasn’t quite got all the right words to make the sentences at the moment so she makes funny noises where she doesn’t know the word so that it still makes sense to her lol.
