Miscellany Motherhood

Me Too!

My daughter is currently watching Yo! Gabba! Gabba! (Hate!) while spilling oatmeal all over the floor and my son (the small one) is currently pooping loud enough that it woke up the dogs. My life is so glamorous I don’t know what to do with myself.

We’ve been visiting with my Mom who is in town until tomorrow and just enjoying some calm family time. We did take an ice-cream break yesterday and NikkiZ decided to break the norm and order chocolate instead of vanilla. (Pronounced and confusing people everywhere: “Banana”.) I am now realizing why Vanilla is a preferred flavor.

Cleanliness is NOT next to Motherhood

Not much else to say, I think I’m about to hit the recycling center before the beer bottles in my garage team up and become some sort of sentient hops being that overtakes our home. What are your plans for today? Do they involve glass monsters that smell like a frat house? I bet they don’t.

Where oh where did you get that onesie?? That’s going to be my new staple baby gift! So adorable!

AndyZ makes the cutest baby old man faces. And I love how NIkkiZ’s smile always looks like she is forcing it. :D

My mother in law just gave us the same onesie — love it! –I’d rather be naked–
    tee hee!

Funnily enough, I also made a huge deposit at the glass recycle place. Driving all the way from my end of town made the car smell like a bottle of Olde E… blech.

I invoked your presence re: your love of the Ped Egg on my blog a few days ago… I’m tempted to make good on that TV offer these days. TWO Ped Eggs and the Miracle Foot Cream for only $10!!” Flip flops all summer are killin my hooves!

I love the baby-old-man faces! they capture so much expression. (or maybe thats just your great photography. If it was me the picture would be a blurry blob) The picture of NikkiZ is so adorable! hopefully she will go back to wanting vanilla soon. Purely for the clean up afterwards.

Our weekend is nearly over now. :( My partner had drinks last night, so im with you on the bottles thing.

But i went bowling! i have not been in years and it was the best fun i have had in ages!!

  6. Wonderful photos! I need to invest in curbside recyclers…when left to my own devices, I just have bags of cans and bottles and plastic sitting around in our storage shed for years, attracting ants.

I spent yesterday with my 14 month old niece having a fantastic time!!

  8. Maria says:

The face he is making is killing me.

The only things I did this weekend was make chicken soup, laundry, and play with my Zune player.

  9. Moogie says:

Heeee….I love that onesie. We spent all last week at my parents house (the girls and I). Sadly, no beer bottles or alcohol…but in spite of it all we had a blast. I can see why vanilla is the flavor of choice. :)

  10. OMG… that is the cutest onesie ever!!! Your kids are so adorable… love the faces in both of these pics.

I shouldn’t read your blog while at work! It’s not good – I sit here chuckling to myself but then have to restrain myself so that I dont laugh too loud lol.

    I love that baby grow!!!!!

De-lurking to say…Seriously what it with Yo Gabba Gabba? So weird…especially the One Eyed Monster. Everytime our 2 year old watches my hubby and I are amazed all over again at the choice of the Monster in a kids show…lol!! Or maybe we’re the only twisted ones that think that! Congrats on the babe. I have a 2 1/2 year old and 4 month old, and also potty training while not sleeping much, good times!!

I don’t let Yo Gabba Gabba in the house. Not. at. all. Also, oatmeal is confined to the booster seat at the kitchen table. It’s bad enough it drips to her shirt or the tray and gets picked up on the sleeve to migrate to all parts of the house. ick.

Love the expressions on both kids and the onesie is priceless.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
