I had a very busy weekend that involved a lot of time NOT SLEEPING. This would be thanks to a certain adorable infant who thinks sleeping is highly overrated. (Linda, I feel your pain.) So, I’m going to cop out and do a meme this morning. Thanks Marilyn for encouraging my slacker ways.
Four places I go over and over:
- Super Target. I mean – it’s Target with groceries. I’d live there if I could
- Barnes and Noble. It’s the outing LilZ and I go on after the little kids are in bed.
- Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Seriously…I have photographic proof.
- Breugger’s. They have great Pumpkin Coffee they brew this time of year. All the flavor of a Pumpkin Spice Latte at 1/3rd the price.
Four places I’d rather be right now:
- In bed. Does that count as a “place”? Because I kinda want to use it for all four spots I want to be there so badly.
- The house we rented at Alligator Point 2 summers ago. We’re hoping to go again this summer, because it was the best vacation EVER.
- In Tucson visiting my brother. I miss that dork.
- Slidell, LA. That’s where we’ll head for Thanksgiving this year and Thanksgiving with MrZ’s family in Slidell is the sort of AWESOME you look forward to all year. Can’t Wait.
Four TV shows I watch:
(Only four? I’ll list NEW shows to narrow it down.)
- The Ex List – You guys are right. That show is funny.
- Fringe Love this one!
- Eleventh Hour Eh. I might toss this one after a few more weeks.
- The Mentalist I gave in. It’s not so bad!
Four things I eat for breakfast:
- Yogurt mixed with granola
- Bagels
- Oatmeal
- Coffee. This is actually my breakfast more days than it should be.
Four animals I like best:
- Dogs. Duh.
- Cats. Duh again.
- Red Pandas
- Manatees
Four beaches I’ve been to:
(Or at least the cities they’re associated with.)
- Santa Cruz, CA
- Sea Island, GA
- Alligator Point, FL
- Gulf Shores, AL
And then I’m going to add two more…
Four Household Items I Couldn’t Live Without
- My crockpot. My family would starve without it.
- Washing Machine. I don’t want to ever have to live at a laundromat again.
- TV. Come on. If I didn’t put this one on the list I’d be a LIAR.
- Can Opener (manual, I have a thing against the electric ones). Again – my family would starve if we didn’t have one of those.

I wish we had a Breugger’s because I am spending a small fortune on my Pumpking Spice addiction.
I love how she is holding big brother’s hand in the second photo. OK–I love all the photos, but especially that one.
Yeah, I wish I had a Breugger’s near me too! I love pumpkin everything—bought pumpkin butter at Trader Joe’s yesterday—but especially coffee drinks, and who can afford Starbucks’ specialty coffees in this economy?
And we almost bought that star onesie for our son at Target also, but he is too big for those onesies now (they only go up to size 9M). He’s only 9 months old, but he’s been in size 18M sleepers for about a month now.

We had one of those not sleeping times just last week. Almost every night. Yeah, that was fun. (insert eye roll) If it were not for caffeine, this working mama would’ve had a really hard time functioning.
I laughed about the can opener. I thought I was the only person that prefers a manual one. All the electric ones drive me craaaazy and the cans never stay on there and open like they should. I can grab the manual one and be done much quicker. DH looks at me like I’m nuts. Well, when he starts cooking he can choose how to do it!
LOVE the photos. That hat on AndyZ is just so stinkin’ cute. Glad to see NikkiZ looking all happy again too.
Seriously, if you are not watching “Worst Week” you are missing out! It’s one of the best new shows this season. Oh, and I LOVE The Mentalist. could be because I find Simon whatshisface extremely sexy!!

If you find your way to NOLA over the Thanksgiving break for any reason and want to meet for coffee let me know!! Or to see some cool sites that don’t involve the Quarter (that much) Like the zoo, or the Aquarium, or Insectium (new place) or just the park?
It would take more than pumpkin spice to make me drink coffee- and I LOVE everything pumpkin. The kids all look so cute and happy.

I seriously love it that you guys go on outings to Barnes and Noble. That is totally awesome. Also, Red Pandas are my favoritest animal of all time. Well, besides Unicorns. Also, I LOVE that star sleeper. It is so freaking cute!
Okay, totally picking something random out of this meme, but I refuse to use an electric can opener, too. Ever since I opened a can with a manual opener in 2003 after I was recovering from surgery for a staph infection in my wrist, I will never go back. Just to prove over and over to myself that I can open a can with a manual opener. I am not even being sarcastic.
Those star pj’s are just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Oh. My. Goodness.
