I seem to attract religious zealots and naysayers. I think its hilarious and ironic that our kchs class, once a class of religious zealots themselves, have moved so left. I remember feeling like such a sore thumb when we'd have talks in class because I'd think...that doesn't sound quite right. Go Class of 93! Glad that the boob feels better. I had mastitis three times in a row and then two staph infections when I was nursing Graeme. Just writing that brings back icky memories. You get all nice, Obama supporters for commenters. Been there, done that, too many times! I wish I had some other advice beyond what's already been suggested above. massage in a warm/hot shower. Nurse on that side first, you don't want milk coming in on that side while he's nursing on the other. If possible, nurse AndyZ with his chin towards the 'knot' there's more pressure from him on that spot which should help move things along. Pump on that side while he nurses on the other. I'm very excited about the next chapter of our country's history. Plugged duct. Been there, done that, too many times! I've had more than my share of the clogged duct, but never went into full blown mastitis. It was so awful w/just a clogged duct I can't even imagine. Anywho, they tell you moist heat, but found that ice packs helped the most for me. Nurse or pump every couple hours (preferably nurse) and massage it while doing this; massage it toward the way out (TMI, I know) to help break it up and move it along. These are awful, I never could sleep even when I had them. Good luck, hang in there and GO PRESIDENT OBAMA!
