Why Write Thought Provoking Posts When You Can Just Do Bullets?

Best. Face. Ever.

I’ve got all of these things I’ve been wanting to write about lately. Profound and thought provoking entries about lots of profound and thought provoking things. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately, every time I sit down at the laptop I feel tired and unable to type more than 4 sentences of coherent thought. This means tonight? You’re getting bullets.

  • Finally finished James Dashner’s latest book in the 13th reality series: The Hunt for Dark Infinity and it was every bit as awesome as the first one. This series should be getting loads of Young Adult attention because it’s AWESOME.
  • So You Think You Can Dance is back for the summer and I’m reminded why it’s my favorite reality TV show. And really the only one I’ll watch consistently. The talent! The drama! The Dancing! Anyone else as addicted as I am?
  • While going through the BK drive thru the other night, NikkiZ spotted a photo of the Jonas Brothers and told me how much she loves them. Isn’t it too early for her to love the Jonas Brothers?
  • I’m getting one of the new iPhone 3GS. MrZ and I have been talking about getting them for awhile but wanted to wait until the new one was announced, which happened today. Considering how geeky we are, I’m surprised we lasted this long. I blame the economy. And our laziness. Unless the bandwagon pulls up to our driveway, we’re usually slow to jump on it. So – what apps are a MUST HAVE?
  • I need to shave my legs. Nothing more. Just thought I’d share.
  • There was a Concert in the Park tonight and I took NikkiZ to it. She insisted on wearing her princess dress. If there’s anything I’ve learned being the mother of a girl its this: There is NEVER any time that it is NOT appropriate to wear a tiara. At least not if you’re three.

I totally agree with you about the tiara, maybe even til older than three ;)

  2. Marg says:

Love the tiara – so cute

  3. Rachael says:

Um, I am TOTALLY addicted to SYTYCD. I finally got caught up through the top 20, and you know what? I am pretty impressed! There is no one in the top 20 this year I don’t like, I don’t even know who I am going to end up rooting for! I was so sad about the one guy who had the contract with the ballet company though. Sucky.

  4. SupaCoo says:

    LOVE that tiara!

  5. Maria says:

    Damn! My comment disappeared.

Nikkiz should always wear a tiara. People must be made aware of her Princess status. :-)

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the iPhone. Must have apps are PhotoCalc (will help you calculate exposure, etc.) and Camera Zoom. Non-photo related apps Shazam (will identify songs that your hear), Google, and iHeartRadio. I have City Transit, which I love. There might be something similar for your area. I have a weakness for word games and have gotten hooked on a few other games. I would be happy to send you the list.

  6. Maria says:

P.S. Are those real tears or is AndyZ wet?

P.P.S. If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion, I wouldn’t get all the apps immediately. Most of the apps go on sale periodically. Why pat $2.99 when you can pay 99¢?

  7. beachmom says:

my thought is, why post words at all when you have such ADORABLE kids!! While I am almost 40, my tiara STILL comes out twice a year!

  8. Monica says:

I love SYTYCD! I really wanted both brothers to make it through to the top 20 though. And I think I’ll get a tiara to wear while I watch the show.

  9. Jessica says:

I’ve been hearing a lot about SYYCD. A lot of women I work with are obsessed with it and it sounds like I must add it to my DVR. I trust your TV advice. I’m also tempted to get the new iPhone after yesterday’s announcement. My only fear is AT&T, which is not known to have great service in my area.

  10. Jessica says:

Oh and I forgot to add: that picture of Andyz is so cute it made me smile, while I’m laying in bed working on my computer. Cuteness knows no bounds!

  11. Michelle says:

I say skip the phone and get a Blackberry Storm :-) . I love mine so much more than the phone.

  12. Krista says:

So excited SYTYCD is back! Now that the auditions are over, I’m even more geeked than I was before.

Love the tiara. Makes me wish I were three again…

  13. stacey says:

maybe i will start wearing a tiara everyday.

  14. Steph says:

If she’s too young to have a crush on the Jonas brothers, then I am too old to think Zac Efron is getting increasingly hotter.

  15. Linda260 says:

I have to agree that tiaras are generally appropriate wear for princesses, and I’m much (much!) more than three.

  16. lisa-marie says:

Oh, yes, I LOVE SYTYCD! I’m SO excited it’s back! And, I’d love to have an iPhone, but I’m on Verizon and not willing to switch. Guess I’ll just have to wait till next year when the contract with AT&T is up.

  17. ladybughugs says:

the cuteness is killing me! and the blue of her eyes? Oh. My. Word! …aaaand I need a tiara like that. Just to remind Lil’bug who rules the roost. (She does, of course.)

    I’m hooked on SYTYCD, too.

I’m waiting on the iPhone to work through other carriers. Will. Not. Switch. To. teh AT&T.

Hi. I’m Kim.

This is my blog that I've been writing on since January, 2004. I call myself Zoot as it's a derivative of an old childhood nickname. I used to write about my struggles to have children, but eventually I succeeded and now, I write a lot about those kids. I don't use my kid's exact names simply because if someone Googles their very unique names in the future, I don't want them stumbling upon my entries about boobsweat. I mean, would you hire someone whose Mom writes openly about such topics? NO. YOU WOULD NOT.

I love taking pictures and carry my camera (almost) everywhere I go. This means you'll see a lot of photos on this site. I also periodically post recipes I like as I've been slowly (but surely) learning to cook and I like to share my discoveries. Finally? I'm an annoying pop culture fanatic so I'll periodically ramble about Hunger Games or the latest Parks and Recreation.

I hope you like it here. If not? Please don't tell me. I cry easily.
