Oh Look! Zoot’s Crying Again! Must Be Another On-Star Commercial.
I’ve often discussed the sensitivity of my tear ducts. On-Star commercials are notorious for making me bawl my eyes out, but any Kid Dialing 911 tape will do it too. And when my kids are involved? Anything that triggers that “PRIDE” alarm in my body? THERE GO THE TEARS. When NikkiZ scored goals in soccer last year? Tears. When she had her first dance recital last summer? Tears. Comfort Zone
I have totally been trying to redefine the boundaries of my comfort zone lately. And much to my pleasure, the process has not killed me. Nor has it driven me to drink. These next few weeks in the Zoot Household are going to be awesomely insane. LilZ’s Musical is entering it’s final weeks of rehearsals and then an insane week of production. (If you live here…PLEASE COME SEE IT…It’s going to be amazing. Seussical the Musical. It just sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Buy tickets here.) There will be things going on almost every night. Tonight? I’m going to a Hair/Makeup class since I’ll be there every... Read More
Drive-By Parenting
Sometimes I’m just blown away when I realize many people ARE NOT LIKE ME AT ALL. I’ll see someone do something, or hear someone say something, that I can never in a gagillion years see myself doing or saying. This is actually quite rare because I’m the queen of empathy. Even people who live lives and have beliefs opposite of mine, I can usually relate to them on some level. Maybe even understand exactly why they’re different. I just simply recognize...
